The following is an article found on the German internet. I have translated it for those to read here. It was written by an activist for our beloved breed; the APBT.

"Everyone remembers The Little Rascal's "Petey." On one side he was the "animal nanny" of the century, but yet on the other hand in today's society he is known as the irrefutable, expected, "dangerous" dog. We see all the different facets of the "fighting" dog. Too bad none of our politicians see what we see. All they see is the "child-eating beast." The newspapers that are in it for headlines, only report the bad and smear the "Pitbull" name. What about the little girl in Schleswig-Holstein, that was vicitimized by her father's German Shepherd? Or the 7 yr. old little boy in Boehmen, that was killed by a German Shepherd? Now see, the German Shepherds; considered to be "Schutzhund" (guard dogs) in Germany; in the afore mentioned, were printed on page thirteen of the local papers and nobody seemed to care. And the outcome? The chase or the hunt for, the short-haired, muscular, athletic "dog" and their owners has begun. Instead of finding a solution to save the animal and the people. It is sad to say that its not the same when an animal of the same species does the same thing."

BSL is nothing short of a modern day witch-hunt.
