it depends on what you think... you have to live with and feed it....do some research on that blood.... I'm not familiar with dogs from those conformation lines, but if that is what you are looking for talk to the breeder and get to know who you will be getting a pup from, what they look for in a breeding program and how they raise/care for (health and socialization wise) their pups from birth until delivery/pick up.

Mutts... I wouldn't take one if they payed me. Waste of feed and time. Breeding for size and color is the wrong way to do it. Continue to do some research before you go and spend money on a mutt.

You really don't wanna know what we think
Why should you care what people think?
YOU BREED IT, YOU FEED IT, YOUR BUSINESS

Those dogs are pretty. But, by definition, they are not APBT. The breeders may call them APBT and the papers may say the same but they are not APBT. APBT are working dogs. Amstaffs are a version of APBT that are purposely bred for conformation. This breeder clearly shows and says that he breeds for looks, not working ability. Therefore, making them Amstaffs. In all honesty, if you like a pretty dog get a breeder that breeds Amstaffs and call them Amstaffs. In my opinion, a breeder that will call their dogs what they are will have more respect for their dogs and in turn will breed a better dog. APBT that are bred for looks tend to have alot of problems and are causing the breed alot of harm.

Agreed Tommyt, those dogs might be what your looking for, who am I to say what you want. But since you asked for opinions on what I think, I think those dogs are worthless mutts. Anyone can debate it all they want but the dogs they breed have both APBT and Amstaff lineage, in turn making them nothing more than papered mutts. I'd have to ask, why would you want a dog such as this? And furthermore, if you do decided to get a dog like this, make sure and call it was it is-an Amstaff, because its sure the hell not a APBT. Hope you do some research and come to a better decision on what type of dog you would like to feed. Have a good day.

They need to know that breeding for the wrong reasons becomes a problem. They need to know what these dogs stand for and it is definitely not looks. I, personally, do not hold anything against someone who owns these dogs and calls them what they are (Amstaffs) and I am not saying they are bad people because they own them. But, I am completely against people who knowingly breed dogs against what the breed stands for and calls them APBT. I (along with others) feel an obligation to inform people of what they are getting into, if possible. This breed is going through a crisis and we should do what we can to inform others of what this breed is supposed to be. If they don't want to listen, we tried. But, I'll be damned if I see or hear of people contributing to the ruining of this breed and not say anything.

Whether they are amstaffs of not in the public eye they are all bulldogs beyond what anyone on here thinks. Some people can care less if their dog is a true bulldog or not and probably have no clue what a true bulldog is. It's unfortunate yes, but it's just the reality of the APBT today. Sure if these blue dogs/amstaffs/mutts/whatever the name be didnt exist you would have alot less owners of so called APBT'S they would pick another large breed that has the look they are going for...ie. the Rottweiler was popular before the oversized APBT craze. IMO what attracts people to these large dogs is that they are being called APBT's and the name has a stigma about it other wise why not get and American Bulldog...those dogs are meant to be larger dogs and are very muscular and can be intimidating (seems what people want in these larger so called bulldogs) , but they dont have the APBT allure as being a bad ass dog: hence these breeders calling their dogs APBT instead of amstaffs...the people that like the look of these large dogs want a "PIT" not an amstaff. Either way what ever you call them these dogs are here and IMO the problem causing this breed the most problems is the OWNERS whether it be of the bulldog in it's true form or otherwise a dog is a product of it's environment and how its raised! You raise any dog in a shitty environment and you going to get a reflection of that in the dog's personality.

My opinion (as an observer and beginner in the breed)

The breeder has a few nice dogs. I don't like their heads at all. Genetics must be something else now a days to get blues out of none blues. Must have some powerfuly homozygous grandparents. If this is what you like more power to you. As a family pet I would go see the parents. But you need to learn what the breeder is all about before you decide, depending on what reason you want the pup.

I got 2 questions for you before i say anything else....

1. Why do you want a "pit bull"?
2. What do you want? (APBT, AST, SBT)
