Last night I had one of the worst migraine headaches I've had in over a year, which isn't bad considering I inherited them from my dad who had them every other day growing up. I couldn't do anything but lay in the bed and beat my head against the headboard. I went and pulled my bitch off of her chain and brought her in the house, knowing that she would lay with me and give me some comfort. Well, she's in her second week of heat and also a little filty from the last rain so I decided that I would try and bathe her, despite my brain pounding inside my head. I gave her a good bathing that was very relaxing for both of us and by the time I was drying her off, the headache was gone! Proof that when you give a little you get back a whole lot.

Hey.....whatever works! I know how you feel, I've had migraines everyday for the past 4 or so years, doctors cant explain why and no meds are working so I guess I better get the water warmed up for the dogs!

I totally understand. They seem to know when you hurt and try to make you feel better.

Sometimes struggling to walk is just too much and I collapse on the couch with one dog curled into the crook of my legs and the other curled in front of me. It's the best therapy to relieve the back pain and horrible muscle spasms in my right leg.

Animals know when you're not feeling up to par and it's wonderful. It's the best feeling to have your dog come lay with you when you aren't in the best mood or if you're hurting. Though it seems my cat could care less...... lol

And thats why I love the dogs even more.....for chasing those ungrateful bastards out of the house! Come on, I feed ya, pet ya, and you cant even come to me when I feel like sh**?! Out the door you go!

all i can do when i have a migrane is lay in a completely dark silent room with ice packs wrapped around my head and try to sleep. i don't know how you can stand the light or the noise, it makes me feel like i am going to blow my head off, that is why i don't have a gun anymore, i can't even see, i get the auras, lights in the eyes, its weird!@!

thats sounds just like my dad. I too get the "lights" in my eyes, right before I GO BLIND, completely! (normally only happens when i read printed books, newspapers, etc. anything black and white) luckily that one the other night was about a 5 1/2 on my scale of 1-10 and i could stand the light in the bathroom.
