We here need to start putting on "Bully Events",... but little will they know,.. they will turn into Culling Events. The one on the right dosn't even look mastiff it looks as though maybe now they are crossing with saint bernards.

I cant believe the size of thsi dog... he is freakish. and from what i head in that line of dogs he is just a little over average, there are individual dogs that are 130-150 pounds.

When i saw him i was like whoa... and Diesel hated him on sight. They have met a few times and have NEVER gotten along. Most dogs he will stare down but with this boy is was a very verbal and outward display of aggression, nothing subtle about it.

Wow, three fat dogs in one picture! I'm surprised they all fit in the frame. You didn't even catch one of them eating. They must eat all day long to look that fat. Eddington line is a known Mastiff cross... People should be harping on these owners about obese dogs. Dogs can not tolerate that sort of weight. It is hard on every part of their body.

do either of those dogs look unhealthy or obese?
I dont know that guy or his dog.. but I know mine and his regimen. unhealthy is the last word you can use to describe him.

like i said obviously we have a different perspective on the word "fat"

In my opinion both are fat but the one on the left is not as fat as the other one but both are fat.
People tell me mine are under weight but they are as healthy as they come.

I really don't think the one on the left is fat. I mean, he can lose a couple to get cut up, but other than that, I think he looks good. NOW, the one on the right is a rollie-pollie and could go without eating for a couple weeks.

Diesel

now i would cosign that statement: " could lose a couple pounds to get cut up"
thats true...

1 lb overweight on a dog is like 15 lb on a human. I'll give you that the one on the left is the LEAST fat of all of them but his stomach is no where near tucked. Dogs store fat internally around their organs so you might be able to see his muscle definition in his legs and shoulders just fine but that doesn't mean he isn't fat inside. Each and every one of those dogs is overweight and there is no arguement you are going to win by claiming otherwise. The one on the left could lose the least amount of weight and be near healthy... It sure is sad when a person needs to keep an obese dog to claim he's "100+ lbs" just so they can claim he's this big or that big. These people can't keep the mutts in healthy shape because they have to keep them fat to sell puppies. The fatter they are the more they can charge for the puppies.

LOL... your funny. I am curious how much he weights though.

honestly I dont think its healthy to have a dog all cut up and vascular all the time. With people you have to have down time... thats why there is a such ting as an off season. In the wild dogs are not all vascular and veiny... yet your telling me thats the natural and healthy way to look?
you say they keep thier dogs fat to seel puppies.. i think you keep your vascular for the same reason. you think it shows superior conditioning and makes for a better athlete right?

I think animals and people should have some fat. in fact i was reading a physicians journal about the effect of having too low of a body fat percentage.
I like my boy just like he is... middle of the road.

I don't sell puppies boy so keep your accusations to yourself. You can't compare human health to dogs so once again you are just showing how naive you really are. Dogs don't carry fat around in the wild. They eat and survive from meal to meal. Regardless, none of us feed wild dogs so they have nothing to do with your arguement. If your dog is in good shape with a tucked stomach and ribs being slightly visible then he is in the shape he needs to be in. You continue to pimp your blue fat curs and we'll continue to struggle and keep this breed alive. You need to think a little before you accuse someone of something. I keep my dogs fit because that means they are healthy. A dog doesn't need to be conditioned to be healthy. You can continue to keep yours fat but don't get your panties in a bunch when someone tells you the truth that your dog is F-A-T FAT.

whatever dude.
He aint fat...
take two seconds to look at those pics instead of talking out the side of your neck and you will see the ribs are slightly visible on him... i guess that shows how naive you are. he is in great shape.

So you think my dog isnt healthy.. whatever. Find another dog his size that can come close to keeping up with him.
this post wasnt even about my dog it was about the big sloppy one. I was proving my point about the mixing and what not that goes on, and how you can clearly tell the difference.

moving on.....

Eddington had two lines. He had the well known cross, and he also had some very good Tonka dogs. I have one of both. If someone around OK. AR. likes the eddington stuff, come get one.

I agree Diesel. Only one that looks fat is the black dog. only one that looks like a mutt is the black dog. Dont get it messed up I love this site. but I dont know if you can post a blue dog here and not get bashed.90 -100 pounds too big. 65 -80 pounds happens. Even in gamedogs. and what is a 75 pound dog unconditioned ohhh... I'd say about 85 pounds .

No reason for a dog to be as big as any of those 3, but to each is own, just stop trying to pass them dogs off as bulldogs...
