Yes, he is breeding Bandogs.. swinford at that. He has a few different breeds ..including Abpts, mastiffs, ect. He clearly states the mixes, hes not trying to pass off anything as "pure apbt" that isnt..

I think it is a very nice site. Mostly i love his yard. Very clean and well laid out.

I'm not to sure about the dogs though.
Don't get me wrong, they are nice LOOKING dogs but there are other things to concider.
Mastiffs and APBTs have good temps, but what i worry about first off is if this new breed gets going good what are OTHER people going to mix to try to make this new breed.
Think about this. He is mixing APBTs and Mastiffs. What are these dogs coming out looking like? To me, a Presa Canario. Not the best temperment. If people do that, thats just going to make an even worse name for the APBT than they already have. The first two dark brindle males look like Presa Canarios to me, (not saying thats what they are , just look like) and they are outlawed in a lot of places.even entire countries will not allow them because of their original purpose( to track down and kill,man or dog and have been tested and proven that this is still in their blood temperment). Originallt labeled " the dogs of war" look it up. So what if people start saying thier Presa Canarios are this new breed, and since they are mixed with APBT, nothing good can come out of it.
Now i know that not all Presas are mean, but it has been proven that their temper is not very stable.

I am only looking out for the APBT breed and when i look at this new breed a lot of red flags come to mind. It looks to be a good new breed, but I am more worried about what OTHER people are going to with it. Like they have done the APBT (alter it). It may end up being the next fighting dog and every one will be trying to ban it to. It is mixed with APBT, thats the first thing that will op up in all APBT haters minds.
I love our breed and want it to stay around, and i think people should stop mixing it and leave it alone.

I thinks the dogs are cool. My main concern is what others will do to. Pssibly giving APBTs a worse name than they already have.

I do have to give the guy props because he does know what he is doing. He has all those dogs trained very well. And the kennel is very very nice. Ive got nothing bad to say about the guy except he is a very good dog owner.

the site was very informative but i have one question, he mentions in his feeding that you should boil chicken before feeding on a raw diet. i have fed raw and never boiled the chicken and never noticed any ill affects as far as dogs being wormy because of this or anything else. i guess what i am wanting to know is did i just get lucky or is it absolutely necessary to boil the chicken? any info would be appriciated.

Exactly my thoughts. Usually I would throw a fit over someone using their APBT for bitework, but I believe this guy really knows his stuff and is doing it correctly.This man obviously has more experience with protection dogs than I, so I have no right to judge the man as this is not my thing! I dont see why ''gametime'' posted this, why try to start problems out of the blue? And whats even more confusing is the next post you are acting like the guys your best bud your sticking up for. Even acting like you support him even though others (you thought) would put him down.....which is exactly what you did in the first post. Badtalk him and call them wannabe pits and then say you want one? So can we accurately take from your posts you are just a ''wannabe pit" owner? You've got some growing up to do bud, stick around and worry more about trying to get your sh** straight and learning the breed rather then trying to start fights and be a bandwagon jumper. I knew a guy with Swinford Bandogs a few years back. I only met the male but he was a pretty cool dog. He did protection training with him. Very aloof with people but good with the family. Somewhat animal aggressive. The guy had him and his female bandog in their vehicle parked and someone complained. The animal control tried to take the dogs and they couldn't which I found slightly amusing. So much for trained professionals.
