What is "Seal" color?

I saw a picture of pitbull that had similar coloring to my Birdie with the color listed as "Seal".

My Birdie looks Black in some light, but a reddish chocolate brown in other light.

Could someone describe the coloring, or better yet, post some pictures of it?

It's tough to photograph the coloring, but here's a shot.

(YES!! My Pit Bull is wearing nail polish!! When she is public, people seem to forget she is a Pit Bull and say look the pretty dog has nail polish on.)

that would be a seal then... black but has a red tint when light hits it.

yep, that's right, my betty is seal. seal is also another word for deep chocolate brown.

I just bought a couple new colors of polish for her. A sparkly pink, a bubble gum pink and a dark pink.

But hey, it's an ice breaker and any time I can break the ice so that people see that this isn't a monster breed, but an awesome animal, it's one more step in the right direction. :)

I also painted Petey's nails too. You should have heard my husband complain because he thinks his dog now looks gay.

My kids have a play castle complete with catapults on the battlements and mounted sling shots, so Petey gets to be the Knight, King or Dragon. Sir Licks-A-Lot, King Arfer and the Brindle Dragon with acid saliva.

My three year old's favorite game is to stack empty cardboard boxes and fire a nerf ball into them so the dog can "storm the enemy".

I'll have to take some pictures of that & post them.
