What do you experienced Gamedog owners think thats the best book out there to own?

i personally would suggest The Complete Gamedog by Ed Faron...it has some stories in it but it also has alot of how to in it also

8th or 9th/50th anniv. addition? Any suggestions on which one..... the 8th is cheaper you think there's any major difference? Tks

If only purchasing one book...The Merck Veterinary Manual is the one to get!Here is a good start to read it online, I dont know how it compares to the real book in hand but it does teach a lot, and Tex is right... knowledge about Vet info should be of the utmost importance before reading other useless info about APBTs. I found this site very informative compared to other books...Tex could you check this out and see if it is like the real manual...

i haven't read the other books but i second the Faron Book, it is very imforative

The complete gamedog by ed & chris faron .......I got mine directly from wildside kennels and ed signed it ......great book with great stories and info.

yeah i agree the complete game dog book is by far the best i have read on any apbt books alot of info on anything from dog houses to flea and tick control a good vet section on the book talk about diseases and everything.

I just bought that one this weekend! They had lots of great books at the show & all were great low prices.

IN the 80's the most popular book by far was Stratton's third book World of the APBT. IT's still my favorite of the ones I've read. I've not, however, read the Complete Gamedog in full. I would say avoid Stratton's last book as his second and third are better. Also avoid Semencic books. The Colby book is good

your gonna need 2 books merck vet manual,and the complete gamedog.once you know these books inside and out you wont have a whole lot of questions left,lol.

I've got Roccas book too, but found it more a call to arms to start fighting back against the bullshit surrounding the breed and everyday life than an informative book on bulldogs. He does delve rather deeply into the geneology of many dogs although.

Damm........... I checked for prices for that book at amazon, and them thiefs want up to $300 for it, screw that, im getting it directly from the source.:cool:
