What are my right???

Just exactly , what are my rights as a dog owner or am i considered a caretaker. Did i read somewhere that it is a felony to steal a dog? Dosent the constitution give me the right to pursue my happiness? Why can the government take my property? isnt dogs considered livestock? Ive been here for a while and i still need these things answered, any comments would be helpful.

it depends on the state your in really. i know it is a felony in louisiana to steal a dog. i don't think they are considered livestock, in most places livestock can not be kept in the city limits.

in reference to the land/property etc. it depends on your zoning and if you are in city or county limits and what county you live in...dogs are not considered livestock the are domestic animals. You property may be deemed agriculture or residential. Most residential areas won't allow livestock. Call the chamber of commerce for more info.
