I'm in the process of conditioning Bud for the shows coming up and I was wondering what would be the best way to build something sturdy to hold a spring pole.

Thanks! We still have a little ways to go, but atleast the next show is in Oct. So what would be the best material and the best way to build something to hold a spring pole?Just get some 5/8" nylon rope, yit one end to a branch of a tree, far enough out as to where he won't hit the trunk. Cut the rope a couple feet down from the branch, tie that end to a garage door spring. Attach the other end of the spring to a few feet of rope, then tie on your hide. Make sure to tape all connections, and There should be enough room from the hide to the spring that he will not hit the spring.

We use bicycle tubes rather than springs, they make less noise and are cheap (you can get used ones from bicycle shops).
