I'm coming at the from a spectator/fan/enthusiast perspective for I am not, will not be and have never been "in the game" so to speak.
As far as game dogs go these few stick out to me for whatever reason:
Chinaman
Nigereno
Bullyson
Zebo
Homer
There are many more though
From a show perspective and I really think the finest dog I've ever seen is
Victorino's Rebel Red Ace

That's what I heard. There's no dignity or respect in cheating and stealing. Some folks just have no pride.

I also like Tudor's Black JackMan I love so many old dogs, I could go on all day, but I still like the ones that never got the respect they deserved more, Like Hargroves Outlaw and Mtn Mans Bandit...even some others that got bad rap from ignorant morons, proved to be good dogs in a good dogmans hands...HOOTEN'S PISTOL (1XGL) (http://www.apbt.online-pedigrees.com/public/printPedigree.php?dog_id=2033) was a damn game dog...look at his ped and see why...these are the type dogs I like, the ones people Dissed on and didnt respect, but for stupid reasons.

One of the females I have now even has a little "Midnight Cowboy" in her from her sire's side, though it is back in the 6th and 7th gen. I'd like to find me a nice tight bred dog that goes back to Baker Davis' Midnight Cowboy.
