If its real the dog had to have died, you know how hard Porcupine quills are to get out, nothing short of surgery would have helped that dog.

I feel for the dog. I came home one day and i found a note on the table from my sister. She had been watching a friends dog over at our house. "Tracy im sorry Emma got out and wouldnt come back and she was hit by a porcupine. " Emma was a golden retriever. Next to the note i found the quills. They had been pulled out pretty easily.
When my dog got into a fight with a porcupine before i got him he had to have surgery.

Emma the golden was fine they were able to pull the quills out by hand.
My dog got into it with a porqupine before i even got him. I found out about it because the previous owner gave me all his vet records. Hes doing good. He just turned 14 in February.
The dog in the pictures isnt mine.
Wow. I used to have one of these dogs. I knew they could become obsessed with hunting animals, knew they were stubborn, but this is something more.
Love to know how how it got on.
