Just curious. We recently got a pit bull puppy and now the people we got her from still have one left. We are considering getting her now. Does anyone think this would be a problem later on down the road? As far as maybe sibling rivalry or the fact that they are of the same sex?
Same sex bulldogs don't work real well unless you enjoy having two animals you can't ever let out at the same time. I would raise the dog you have and make sure you can handle her before you contemplate getting another dog.

That All Depends On The Dogs. That Could Go Both Ways. The Brother Of My Dog Witch My Freinds Have They Do Not Like Each Other And That Started Around 6 Months. So In The End There Is Possibility That U Mite Have To Kennel Them When They Are Not Being Supervised. So U Need To Think About Very Thing Before U Make This Decision.

Well when we got our first pit bull we already had a female yorkie and they have been cohabitating for about 3 years now with no problems. Not to say one won't arise but so far no problems. So I just thought that maybe they would be able to get along.

You never know...if your gonna try, then you better do it now so they have maximum time together, are they game bred? Im assuming probaly not, and if not youll have a better chance, but you never know when one might turn on and decide play time is over, but I have had proven game dogs that got along with a few other certain game dogs that they knew just were not for them, they just knew and even played, some were even fight crazy but not with certain dogs or my German Shepard Yard Protector, He is cool and safe now around the dogs and never gets bit anymore by the gamedogs, so you never know...youll have better luck if fixed too,,,when dogs become eunics they cant smell those pheromones driving sexual spats...

How old is yours and the puppy if they are getting up there in months I would say not a good idea-if theres a chance of them getting along later the best way to achieve this is socializing two puppies. I only suggest doing this if you have ALOT of free time and know that theres a possibility that you may have to care for two dogs that can never be let out around eachother. If you do decide to do it always supervise them and remember the one golden rule ''NEVER trust a pitbull not to fight". Let us know what you decide.

These puppies are both from the same litter. They are 11 weeks old. Both the parents have great dispositions as well as the puppy we have. But you are right 14Rock, you can't ever trust them to not to fight. We are thinking things should be ok as long as we watch them carefully and get them while they are young. I also figured that getting them spayed will help too! This is such a hard decision b/c they are such great dogs! But you can honestly never tell!
