It's a disqualification unfortunately.

But it has no significance to the conformation of the dog. Or does it? Just curious.

Why is being fixed a disqualification?

Because the original purpose of the conformation show was to judge and compare dogs against each other as far as how well they fit the breed standard and for breeding purposes.. (which has nothing to do with breeding apbts lol)

A fixed dog is missing parts and not able to breed..

That is the ORIGINAL purpose of the show.. not that it holds true to our breed or many breeds now adays..

Thanks, I guess i understand now. I mean if the dog won the show he or she would probably want to be bred. Hmm, does that mean there are seperate classes for males, and females. sorry I dont know anything about dog shows.

Yes there are different classes for males and females unless it is a "fun" class as opposed to a "points" class. It's also possible that individual spayed/neutered dogs may have something of a different conformation from the breed standard based on how the hormones affect their physical development. Not saying the policy makes much sense though.
