View Full Version : N.E. Indiana
Seeing that I'm new to all of this, can someone tell me if & what blood is bred around the Northeast part of Indiana. I'm located in Ft. Wayne and I'm looking for some that are within about a 3-4 hour radius. And if it's possible, give a quick description of the pros/cons about the bloodline. Thank you in advance.

It's All In What You Want To Do With The Dog Then Look At Bloodline
Looking into a dog that's really active and comes from a line that excels at weight pulling. I can't really find anything about the bloodlines listed here in the bloodline page or I would see what each line's pros/cons are myself. Or, if you could point me into the right direction, that would help. I'm getting ready to look into the Richard Stratton books, but I don't imagine him giving an insight to a lot of bloodlines. I happened to notice that some red nose, red devil??? dogs are bred around here. I'm not looking into getting the dog right now, but down the road.

You shouldnt be worried so much for say on the bloodline as you should from getting them from a reputable breeder that does what you want to do with your dogs. Bloodlines dont mean too much if your not planning on breeding the dog. Stratton has some good books, they will give you a fairly good basic understanding of the breed and history.
That's true...Let me re-phrase my question. Who are some reputable breeders/kennels around Northeast Indiana, within that 3-4 hour radius (give or take some), or ones that would be willing to ship, if need be?
