Oh what a cutie!!! :D

As far as the growth process, dogs grow at different rates & some of it depends on it's parentage & bloodlines. However a general rule is it takes 2 yrs for an APBT to fully mature (although a few mature sooner & a few mature later....physically that is). I found that my dogs' heighth changed little after a year, & after that they do more growing "out" than up. But dogs can still grow "up" after a year, I'm just stating what I've seen more in my dogs.

thanks for the info, also do you guys feed your dogs dry food or the ones in the can? one problem also with the dog is that it doesnt let me pet it on his head, once it sees my hand going for the top of his head it turns. i mean i trust it and everything but i dont want this to be a habit because when it gets older i dont want it to lock on to my hand or anything

First, pitbulls can not "lock" their jaws. That is an urban myth. They are very strong and very determined so they can hold a long time but they can not "lock". Second, petting the dog on the top of his head is trying to make him submit. You should try petting and scratching him under his chin or around his neck and ears. Many dogs do not like to be pet on the top of the head. This doesn't mean he is going to attack you or bite you, this just means he doesn't like to be pet there. Mia is totally correct about the growth.

Feed a dry food & a good quality food (do a forum search on food threads :) ), as canned food is not needed for many reasons (take to much to feed your pup, usually causes loose stools, etc.)
