My new 8 week old puppy has 1 rose ear and 1 flop ear. I was looking for pictures on how to tape the flop 1 in place. Everytime I tape it, it looks wrong. Thanks

are you going to take her to "conf. shows"? personally, i like leaving the dogs ears natural. I'm not into cutting/taping. I think it gives the dog more personality.

It dont matter the ear is of little consequence. But if your really concerned with the "looks" my suggestion is you go to a VET that does those things to have it done with one of those angle head braces(I forget what theyre called but they look like a head thing people where for braces attachted to a collar) I have seen them used to measure up from the side of the jaw, so it looks right it conforms to the head since the head is not a perfect mirror image anyway this thing makes it look like it should have by holding the head and ears in place while its taped up with a sturdy bracing and equal on both sides at the same point on each ear. This will make everything as good as nature could have if it was meant to be that way in the first place. My new 8 week old puppy has 1 rose ear and 1 flop ear. I was looking for pictures on how to tape the flop 1 in place. Everytime I tape it, it looks wrong. Thanks

it depends... what registry are you showing with?? adba, aadr..doesnt really matter ..ukc..they tend to be a bit pickier
Most dogs are still growing at that age. You can't tell how their ears are going to be until they are atleast 5 months old. I've had some look totally wrong and one day once the head is grown and the cartilage starts to harden, they both appear totally symmetrical. I don't think you should be worrying about it with an 8 week old pup.

I just realized that it looks like the blaze on his face got bigger too, LOL. As for his ears, one of them went up and the other one shortly followed. Hope that helps you!

http://www.game-dog.com/gallery/files/1/6/2/1/mia1.jpgJMHO there is nothing wrong with that pups ears I have seen a lot like that turn out perfect after the cartilage ages and a good key to see what will happen is what you said about mias ears and look at them now...this may be a good indicator of how they will turn out...id leave them be and if nothing happens by say 4-5 mos then look into getting them taped if you still care... but by then it will probaly be something youd miss about her personality...unless your showing her your the only judge...
