If you're looking to do more activities with Lucy then get yourself a good harness, find a good walking trail, and get her to see walking time as pulling time.. my dogs pull me 6 mls a day three times a week and they love it. I do it as part of Physical Rehabilitation and they've been trained to do so since they were pups.

Just make sure she's conditioned to the enviornment.. Kids, people, dogs and rabbits can become hazzards with such a strong and physical breed.

Most of all turn walk time into their playtime and dont forget to get yourself a good Cross Training Shoe, if its hot or humid where you live take enough H2O for you and the dog.

thanks i'll try that, lucy and i walk about 2 to 4 miles a day depending on the weather, i just thought i could make it fun for her by taking her to the fields up the street and let her pull or do something so she can work off some of that energy

Once she gets used to pulling your weight you can probably find a way to harness dead weight to her if your looking to use her in pulling competitions.. but I'm sure there are alot of posters here who can help you with pulling weights.

I was just suggesting that method if you want to be involved for your own health.. I've heard alot of people talking about Bike Pulling or maybe attaching weight resistance to a treadMill if they're legal where you live. In some areas I think it's illegal to even let Pits pull you while your on a Bike.. The authorities call it Dog Fighting Techniques.

Very true....The cops have been called many times for people letting their dogs pull weights or pull them on a bike. They just dont understand this is a fun, healthy activity for you both, and is far from cruelty.
