eating habits

This is my first pitbull and i am confused i thought they are big eaters. well my dog does not like to eat. He is 9 months old and weighs 75-80 lbs so he is not skinny just does not eat. He will eat every other day and will not touch the food until 11 p.m. i feed him hills science diet and have since he was 5 weeks old. HE has never been a big eater but i the last 2-3 months is has gotton worse. any suggestions.

I’d say he is not “skinny”, doesn’t seem to be to finicky. I’m sure he is consuming what he needs if not much more.

There is much better, quality kibble out there, do a search on this board and you find numerous articles about dog food. Then you’ll be able to choose a much more appropriate kibble to feed your dog.

Are you feeding him table scraps or anything else besides his diet? Just like Tex said, you might want to try a different kibble. If you are feeding him "human" food or other treats I would discontinue that.
