i'm just starting up with this breed and it seems i cannot figure out the difference...
what's the difference between scattered breed and battlecross breeding?
any pros and cons?
i,m fairly new to this also. i know that a scatter bred dogs are not tightly bred meaning that they have many bloodlines scattered through their ped. battlecross i think is a line itself.if i am wrong somebody correct me. thanks

too ME a scatterbred dog.....is just that.....its scatterbred with many bloodlines and not bred tight on any of them......most battlecrosses are crosses of 2-3 sometimes 4 different bloodlines.....like taking a tight bred eli dog and crossing it into a tight bred redboy/jocko dog.....that would be a battle cross......and sometimes battle crosses are border lining scatterbred or ARE scatterbred....IMO its good to try and stay away from scatterbred dogs....since they have so many different bloodlines in them....they are less likely to produce a good consistent dog...thats my take on it

boondock that statement is 1/2 true.....a good dog IS where you find them.....but what are the chances of you getting a good dog out of the newspaper or off scatterbred dogs with 8 different blood lines running through them? .............. another point i would like to make....is that sometimes to those not real familiar with the bloodlines.....a ped may look scatterbred.....but is loosely linebred......an example would be a dog thats say nigerino/6-bits/eli bred......that might not look to good.....but all 3 of those lines are based on eli
