Hey guys! What about COLBY DOGS? I live in New Orleans and own 2, a male, 18 months and a female, 4 months. Don't be nice be honest ok? I got from Mr. Colby, should i breed to each other or outcross? They are both pure colby dogs.
How do I post the pedigrees?
THANK YOU GUYS for all the posts!!!! To clear up something, I got my dogs from Mr. Colby himself. The male is outgoing but the now 4 month old female, ever since I had her(8 weeks) has growled at and lunged towards dogs when I walked her. That is from a pup off the plane

I have never fooled with any Colby dogs but they are honest bulldogs and the ones I have seen in recent years have been a lilttle on the large size. I cant say if the breeding would be correct without knowing more about them.Nothing wrong with COLBY dogs at all......love to see pics!

Go to the historical Forum there's some pic's of some Colby dogs in there....
to be honest i havent heard of any colby dogs winning anything for about 15 years, granted most dogs are decendant of colby lines but i just here it isnt working (winning) anymore. but the colby line was the foundation for a good procentage of all pits in the states. i wouldnt have bought one, but u never know u might have something that would bring the colby name back to the headlines.

We had a Colby dog at one point, she obviously didn't work out for us. She was a beautiful dog with a sweet personality. But, extremely shy towards strangers even though she was socialized. Her littermates that we knew off grew up the same way. The Colby dogs play an important role in these dogs history but unfortuantly not a large percentage are being used anymore. There are still some good ones out there, just be leary of your source. Heard good things about Tenn Dog Pound crossing their Colby with some Jeep stuff.
Good luck! ;)
