Guys we really have to start making contact with these new members and stimulating their interest in our site and get them posting on the boards. Im open to any and all suggestions in accomplishing this goal. This should be a high priorty for all of us...
what about starting a beginners forum. i owned one pit in my life it was recently stolen and i am intrested in starting my own yard. what about a forum for people getting satarted where they would not feel as if they were asking supid questions or being afraid because they dont have as much wisdom as most of you do. to me the only stupid question is one that is not asked. but i am sure everyone is not that way thanks, crg8

As far as your stolen dog...very sorry to hear that, knock on wood, no dog thieves here so far...

Never not ask a question that you may have. No one will think of you as stupid or whatever. This site is a place to gain knowledge on the breed and everyone here will answer your questions for you. If you had a forum strictly for people just getting started I dont think they could gain much knowledge from each other? Anyways ask anything you want any where. You can ask any and all questions in the "general forum" and there is no stupid questions really...you ask anything you can think of and I'm sure someone will help ya find an answer, or depending on the question, a multiple of answers...

if some members are viewing and not posting that leaves a possibility that they found what they were looking for or didnt. to have the most traffic isnt nessearily good if they are bullshit post that do not ask or answer a question. i say give it time the site is still young and it will continue to grow. it has alot of members for the short time it has been around, and i am sure we will recieve more once the ped generator comes around. besides our job isnt to pull peoples arms to post something it is to answer questions and guide them.

You have a good point. The best we can do for now is to inform people about the site and let them make up their opwn minds. As far as the other members not posting or getting involved I think that is BS. They should atleast try and give some of their insight and input.

If they arent asking questions how can we answer them and guide them. Not suggesting that we pull anyones arm just generate interest.if some members are viewing and not posting that leaves a possibility that they found what they were looking for or didnt. to have the most traffic isnt nessearily good if they are bullshit post that do not ask or answer a question. i say give it time the site is still young and it will continue to grow. it has alot of members for the short time it has been around, and i am sure we will recieve more once the ped generator comes around. besides our job isnt to pull peoples arms to post something it is to answer questions and guide them.

well it may be a good sign if they arent asking questions. it might be that they found the answers that they were looking for. if there is no questions that means we have fully answered their questions in the past and they found all the information they needed. but like i said before this site is young and will gain a bigger following as time goes on. rome wasnt built in a day.

Shon.......how about putting up a permanent message on the home page explaining what we want to express.......there are no dumb questions....the staff will help in any way possible........we want thier questions and comments.......they are a part of what makes GAME-DOG work.
You might even offer some incentive/bonus points to use in the u-SHOP when they hit early levels. You can offer incentive/bonus points for posting pictures of thier dogs.
Incentive points for listing peds........all to be used in the U-Shop.
Lets give them a reason to voice an opinion.
That is a good idea, I will be adding a lot to for and to the uShop pretty soon.

A beginners forum would be ok but then you would probably miss out on some great knowledge from veterans.

I just noticed a NEW menber. I think we should welcome every new member. And have an updated list of members with join dates to do a continue touch base when they become less active. On, by the way, I did welcome him aboard. And I hope you guys will too, as I know he is fresh to the game. pooch.

I like the idea for a forum on people like me and crg8 that are starting thier kennels. I know I have a lot of questions. I don't know everything about running a kennel myself. Plus I am starting from scratch and buying pups so it'll be a while before I start breeding anything. I just bought a new pup this weekend to add to the collection at my place, she's running a lot of Zebo/jackhammer. I'll have her up on peds online sometime whenever that website isn't down. I'll also have to post a pic, Beautiful pup.

Actually...rather than wanting a forum for newbies (like myself ;)) why not just start posting your questions in the General forum? Or in the bloodlines forum? I've been getting a lot of answers to my questions just by posting. ;)
