After carson's unfortunate experience with jolly, and mtnman's unfortunate experience with yet another transporter...I cannot in good conscience sit idly by any longer.
As most of you are aware from my previous posts (prior to the posting fiasco), we transported dogs under K-9 Courier Service and have an excellent reputation from many reputable dogmen & dogwomen in the fraternity. We are no longer transporting due to a family matter, again, as previously posted. However, I must emphasis that as a responsible owner/breeder, that when shipping a dog, you must consider many criteria BESIDES the cost!
Does the transporter offer a written contract?
Does the transporter require a health certificate?
Does the transporter photo-document condition of dog upon pickup and dropoff?
Does the transporter offer a written liability (recoverable cost of dog) in the event of loss, theft, injury, or death of the dog during transport?
Is the transporter bonded & licensed?
Does the transporter provide you with an itinerary of the trip outlining ETA's (dates & times) of pickup & dropoff?
Does the transporter maintain communication throughout the run?
Does the transporter work around your (shipper/consignee) schedule rather than theirs?
Does the transporter provide references?
If the answers are NO, then please do yourself AND your dogs a favor, find another transporter who meets these expectations. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR, DON'T CHEAPSKATE YOUR DOG'S TRAVEL.
