View Full Version : Truth wanted about my dogs
I would like to ask those of you that know me and even those of you that don't - what do you seriously think of my dogs? I pretty much have an idea of what I'm in for here, LOL. But would like to know... BE HONEST with me, it's fine. Judge away, I'd love to know, just for shits and giggles..... :D
I've posted a link to the gallery where they each have their own category.

they must be staffs, gamedogs u cant have loose around each other. i know that is one trait i wouldnt want. so u must have staffs or watered down pits. this is just my opinion

Ive seen plenty of gamedogs of the opposite sex around each other with no problems..
I think your dogs look pretty, but that is the only opinion I have.

oh come on, no one else LOL
I have been around pit bulls for over twenty years, I can tell you that they come in all shapes and sizes, don't worry about what others might think of your dogs, your the one feeding and taking care of them. I know what I like in a dog and that is all that matters to me hope you think the same way, no matter what you are looking for in a dog. They say that a picture's worth a thousand words but there is a lot more to these dogs than the way they look.

The white and brown one looks like a AM Staff, IMO. But they look great!
I put this question out here - I've been getting alot of "stud" PM's and questions about Benjamin. A few of us were talking the other night on the ole porch. It was brought up that Maddie doesn't look anything to them like a pit bull but that Ben is in their eyes, PERFECT (they have only ever known my APBT's) I think Maddie is much more the "standard" but she's a fat ass and I know it... I was just wondering other's opinions and this is why - good or bad they are mine and I love them both but still want them

I think they look good Jenn.I don't pay much attention to what others might say about my dogs, and I know they would say a lot because of my blues or my 68 pound female.I know they are mine, they are what I want and I love em.They do anything I ask of em.Except get along!Blue will get along good with everyone (cause everyone else is girls) but no one else gets along.I can't even have my kennels too close.

I know that you have looked at some of my dogs Jenn, and I'll be upfront some of them are staffs but definitely not all of them. You do have some nice dogs there.

I like the way your dogs look, imo there's nothing wrong with them. Ben has a staffy look but I really like his build. What's his ped look like? Is he staff or apbt??

Your dogs look good to me. Neither one looks like an amstaff to me. But hey all that matters is if you are happy with them and they are happy with you. ;)

"they must be staffs, gamedogs u cant have loose around each other. i know that is one trait i wouldnt want. so u must have staffs or watered down pits. this is just my opinion." - 5555
What????????? Add that one to the list of "pitbull" myths. I have known many many many gamedogs that could run freely with certain others. I currently have a 2xw male, a Ch female, and a 15-month-old firey daughter of theirs that all get along great... for now anyway.
The female I mentioned has a game-to-the-core sister that she got along with for roughly 2 1/2 years before I finally had to separate them (with a break stick, that is.)
Dogs of the opposite sex can often get along much easier than same-sex dogs, but I've seen some bad yard accidents between dogs of the opposite sex as well. I had one particular male who tried to destroy any and every bitch I tried to breed him with.
But there are some gamedogs that will absolutely get along with certain other gamedogs, opposite sex or not. It doesn't mean they are "watered down" or amstaffs, and it certainly doesn't mean that they won't work when it comes time to work. Unfettered aggression is not what makes a gamedog.
In regard to Jenn's dogs, it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks about them as long as they can put a smile on their owner's face. I've heard people ask "what breed is that?" after seeing pics of Gr Ch Barracuda, lol.
Nice looking dogs though, Jenn.

Rascal is one of the ugliest dogs I have seen, but I would have loved to own him. My point is looks don't get you too far with APBT, I have seen so many pits with so many different looks that it's crazy. When you start to worry about looks, you lose the true essence of the APBT. JENN, keep taking good care of those dogs.

i hear that about the opposite sex getting along sometimes. i have a male that is about three and half, and he used to get along great with my fifteen month old male, would go so far as to even let the younger male hump him. the same male would not tolerate either of my two younger females at the time. i had a feeling maybe he was homosexual, lol, but now he doesn't tolerate any dogs what so ever. my two older females get along well with my female pup but wont tolerate one another, and they both get along well with my inside male dog. i think it is just dependent on the dog, some will get along some wont.
yis,

oh yeah, i like the dogs jenn
