I've been talking to people about starting a club in Ga. some think it is a good idea and others just don't care enough about there dogs. I guess I've been talking to the wrong people. Do you Marty what to talk and see if we can work something out.

i am currently putting together packets for a georgia club and will be sending them out asap, please pm me with contact info, and i will send them by the 21st. also we are currently trying to lock in some dates for late august early september for our first fun show. it will depend on when the venue can confirm. we are required by the adba to have at least 2 fun shows before we can have a sanctioned one. i have already contacted judges, and have about 30 to 35 members ready to sign up for the club.

I'm glad to see that we might be able to have shows in Ga..
But I'm alittle worried about my male he is 8 months and is very aggerssive towards animals, what is the ruleing on that at shows.
But my female is about 8 months and she is more laid back I caller her a " petbull ".

aggression is not necessarily a fault, but must be controlled for all involved. as long as you are able to handle your dog and avoid scuffles there is not really a problem

no you do not, although it would make it easier to attend the events, but if you are willing to take the drive you are always welcome. most people travel far and wide to attend shows anyway. pm me if you want me to forward the club info to you, i'd be glad to do it.

I live in Augusta, Ga. about 2 hours from anywhere in Ga.
Also I would be willing to help in any way possible. I can get massive prints done color or black and white for free I mean like 5,000 copies. So just let me knowwhat I can do
And would be interested in serving on the board.
And what contact info do you need e-mail, address, or telophne?

physical address will work best as there is quite a bit of info going out, also let me clarify what i wrote in my pevious post, all owners of adba dogs will be eligible for sanctioned shows, and we ill also have classes for rescued dogs and unpapered pits at the fun shows. so, all are welcome, membership is not required.

Is this club going to be strictly ADBA, or are we going with any other registry also? Like AADR or NKC (they seem to have a lot of shows around Southeast TN).

to start with the pointed shows will be adba only, it is quite a bit of work getting it all organized, but we will have classes at all shows that will allow dogs of any registry. once this is up and running good, we will probably expand.

hey gapits!
is the new club going to be together with the georgia apbt association, or will they be separate clubs? i heard at one point that it was just going to be one big club. i also thought i heard from amjuliette that there would be a fun show on july 23rd in macon - do you know if that's still the case?

the current date for the second fun show is looking like july 30th, they will be having a board meeting to finalize soon and when they do i will be posting it. as far as the second club, we are currently working together, we felt it best to let them get their feet under them before spreading it out any further. pm me and i will be glad to give you the details.
