Yes, it's possible, but you have your work cut out for you !

How old is the dog? Yes you can do it with walking & diet. But like Classic said you'll be in the best shape of your life! lol. Do you have more than one dog? I have a couple of dogs that won't work until they see me working another dog first. Then they get jealous. This works real well with flirt & springpole. If your dog is under a year I would'nt worry they're still a pup & they'll come around it just takes patience.

If you can walk him while you ride a bike then even better for you and the dog. Warm him up first with a 30 min. walk then sprint as fast as you or he can go then walk him out to recover then repeat untill you feel dog has had enough. Each day try to increase sprint time or # of sets he sprints.

Well in your case, just try the hand walking. I do the same thing. Hell I've been getting myself in shape too. So its all good. Thats how dedicated I am to keeping my dog happy. We do miles a day. I'll post some pics soon so you guys can see how she's starting to really fill out. Just from handwalking and sprints.
