I'd be more concerned with how the parents are than the pedigree.. Peds dont really mean a darn thing if the parents werent worthy of breeding
It seems there are some good dogs in the ped... If you like those lines, then go for it.
As to the other question, how many of the pups in the litter is the breeder keeping. If the breeder had 10 and only 3 are left, did the breeder sell the 7 others ? Usually if a breeder keeps alot then the breeding is a good one..or they at least have really high hopes on it

Very good point rocksteady and I agree. If the breeder is keeping more than they are selling its a breeding that they like, and not just for $$.
Don't just look at the parents, the grandparents have a huge roll as well. Alot of times the traits from the GRANDPARENTS will be more dominate than the parents so make sure you like them as well.
Good luck.
AS ALREADY STATED I WOULD TRY TO FIND OUT ABOUT THE PARENTS. YOU HAVE SOME SOLID PROVEN PRODUCERS IN THE CARVER DOGS IN THAT PED, ALL THE SAME I WOULD BE CURIOUS KNOW WHAT THE PARENTS HISTORY IS LIKE.

another ? to ask would be is this a repeat breeding or the first. if its a repeat how many did the breeder keep the first time. when you make a comitment to raiseing a dog and being responible for the rest of its career or life or what ever you can ask quetions that answer more than one of your concerns:) .
thats all i have to say about that.

So what do you think? Do you find the pedigree impresive? I do not wan't to buy a dog with a pedigree of never heard ancestors :D

Do you have much experience with this breed? I only ask because your asking about the pedigrees, which suggests to me that perhaps you aren't very familiar with the breed or maybe just those particular dogs. If this is the case, than perhaps a gamedog (or any pit bull right this moment) isn't the greatest idea for you. If this is the case, then maybe you have a bit more research to do before you bring at least a ten and possibly a fifteen year commitment into your life.
Please don't get offended by this. I haven't gotten a pit bull yet either because I'm still trying to educate myself. I've been seriously researching for almost two years, bought and read several books, discussed the breed for about a year on multiple message boards, and still don't consider myself quite ready. I am also still in college and don't yet have a stable enough lifestyle to give a dog the stable, forever home it deserves. There's a lot more to ask yourself before you get a dog than whether or not it has a good pedigree.
If you do have experience, than nevermind my post...lol

its a very nice ped, but the ped does not make the dogYes I do agree texasapbt, but if you intend to breed and sell later on. I think it would be nice to have a very good pedigree. I think most game dog buyers usually consider it as a very big factor. I know it does not guarantee, because it's a game of chance.
JCleve86, I got into game pitbulls in the early 90's. I only stopped the hobby last 2001. I wan't to get back to it again this year :)

Well alright then! Just thought I'd try to prevent a pup from becoming an unwanted dog just in case...good luck to ya!

Yes I do agree texasapbt, but if you intend to breed and sell later on.
When you get your dog is that really what you intend to do "breed and sell later on"? If that's all your looking at why get back into these dogs at all? There is more and more BSL trying to be passed everyday because of so many people wanting to just breed and sell these dogs and letting them go into anyone's hands.
I breed dogs, and occasionally sell one but in no way is that my focus and shouldn't be. And you'd be surprised at what "most game dog buyers usually consider it as a very big factor".. There are good in bad in all lines, and everyone has a preference, as well as what they look for, but the pedigree is usually just a small factor overall.

How true!! And it seems the more and more "popular" a pedigree / line is the more and more chances someone out there is breeding for $$$ and in name only.
If you like it then thats all that matters. And with all the having to watch who what where and how ..the less popularity in a line the better IMO.
Yes, it is imporant to have a strong pedigree but only in the sense that the dogs behind it are strong. Nothing is 100% and with even the best dogs there is some risk involved..unless you are already buying a proven dog.
If you have the time, energy, money and support to give the dog and help it acheive its potential and see it through to the end regardless of what happends, then go for it. If you are just looking to breed without working for it, then look into buying an adult proven dog.. just my 2 cents
OH..and on a second note..just because a littermate did well doesnt mean that every dog in the litter will achieve the same or do as well.. granted with solid dogs your chances are high.. but gameness is a hard trait to get..
You asked about opinions on the ped. Well it's basically a 3/4 Carver w Chinaman for the out. I like it. But if you are asking if it impresses me, well, there are individual dogs in the ped that impress me. But I know nothing of the Sire & Dam of your pup. If you like it buy it maybe in about 19 months you'll know if it was a good investment.

At a price of US$150 do you think it's a good buy :) I know in the US it would cost around US$400 up
The ped doesn't make the dog BUT..good dogs usually follow behind good producers. Good luck! When you get your dog is that really what you intend to do "breed and sell later on"? At $150 a pop Yes I would gamble on them. I'd probably buy a couple just to increase my odds. But yes I think enough about that blood to gamble $150 on a pup.

I WOULD BUY A COUPLE AS WELL, AS I BELIEVE THE BLOOD USUALLY THROWS GOOD STUFF. BUT, THE SELLING LATER ON BIT IS A LITTLE SUSPECT. LADY R IS 100% RIGHT WITH HER POST AND YOUR COMMENTS HAVE ME WONDERING JUST HOW WERE YOU IN THE DOGS IN THE 90'S. IF YOU STILL ARE SKETCHY ON PEDS, WHY WOULD YOU BE LOOKING SO FAR DOWN THE ROAD AS BREEDING? I THINK YOU SHOULD SLOW YOUR ROLL A LITTLE. JMO, BUT A STRONG ONE.

Not too many people know this. But the grandparents play a huge role. I have seen this too many times to say that YES, I have to agree with your statement 110%!

It is a very nice ped. In my opinion you would have a good chance of getting a bulldog from this breeding. As a breeder I can tell you that I don't care for people asking me questions about what I have done with my dogs, one just never knows who is asking the questions. Besides if you have not seen it for yourselves you are just taking there word for what they may tell you. When I look at that pedigree I see many a true bull dog close up and that tells me I have just a good a chance at coming up with a bulldog as any, no matter how many the breeder is keeping.
