I have a seven month year old blue nose pup who is very healthy, however he seems so thin to me. How can I get him to gain more muscle and put on more pounds and whats the healthiest way to do that. I run him about two or three days a week and he is still on puppy chow. Thanks for the advice!

Ok first off how much does he weigh? And what else are you feeding besides the puppy chow? And how much are you giving? What brand of food is it?

I haven't weighed him since his last parvo shot...but I am guessing that he weighs about 30-35 pounds. I feed him Iams large breed puppy chow two times a day. People have told me to mix in eggs and hamburger, but is that safe?

Egg yolks only don't use the whites. They are bad for the dog. Try adding a cap full of corn oil to his feed once a day. And try to feed 3 times a day if he's willing to eat it all. Instead of hamburger try adding some lightly fried cow liver to his meal. Just liver no onions no sauce or anything like that. Fry it just enough to turn the outside brown. A little blood is fine! Good luck :)
