maybe way,way back.Like 100 years ago.I think about everyone has a dog that's is very distantly related to Colby's Pincher, COLBY'S PINCHER (http://apbtpedigrees.com/printpedigree/printout.php?recordID=2529) but at some point in your dog's ancestory the dogs hit a fork in the road and it took a little different path than mine did.

My point was that in the street you see a lot of idiots with pits. Trying to face off and breed for bigger heads and bodies. Not caring about temperment, conformation or anything important. Im just happy to see people with dogs that look like mine and who are true to the breed.
True to the breed? What breed are you refering to because all I see there is a AST not a APBT? Conformation is important to who? Don't get me wrong everyone wants a good looking dog but only people who prance there dogs around on a tiny lead in hopes of making a paper Champ care what the dog looks like, I perfer whats inside and I will take heart over looks hands down any day of the week ...........:rolleyes:

I hate to break it to you crimson, but Bobby Rooster is right. Ever heard the old saying "You catch more flies with honey than you do with vinegar?" If someone posts a questionable dog & you sit around & bash on it guess what will happen? They will run off to be with like minded individuals who are as ignorant as themselves & nothing will be accomplished. The only thing that will happen is when they join that like minded group, they will be told how great their dog is & ignorance will be perpetuated.

I don't really find any thing impressive with that ped... There is obviously some show winners on that topside... But like it or not there is a difference between an APBT and a pitbull.. Plus we all know pr doesn't mean shit.. Now I'm not bashing his/her dog,just stating I see nothing impressive..

It's a good looking dog for sure, I don't think anyone disagrees with you on that boston but aint none of them dogs in my peds with the exception of pincher. As for PR isn't that something UKC puts infront of a dogs name once you've registerd with them for so many generations (thought it was like 4 generations but could be wrong). :confused: So in other words it's like a title they will give any dog thats been registered through them, as long as 3 generations before said dog have been registered with UKC? I'm really asking because I don't know but I thought I read that somewhere before.

I have no idea. My dogs ped has PR all over it but I have no idea what it means. My dog is UKC also.

The blood on the top is UKC show blood. The blood on the bottom from what I saw had a lot of OFBA dogs. I could be wrong, but weren't OFBA dogs Hemphill/Wilder bred game dogs? If so, I wouldn't say the ped is that shabby. The bottom side would be more desirable of course, but some nice working dogs have come off the blood from the top side too.

He was bred to be game not for the ped anyway. Don't worry i wasn't trying to impress anyone just looking for more info about whats on the paper. Thanks everyone. Yeah i don't know what the PR is its not on the actual ped from adba i just see it here on the internet.

Wishfull thinking. Those dogs exsist to apeal to john q public, they present a facade that suits the ego at the end of the lead. Gamedogs are not meant for everyone and everyone is not meant for the gamedog. Gamedog fanciers are the minority.
Realisticly, ppl dont initialy get "bullies" b/c they are such a great breed, they get them b/c they look bad ass!!!

I remember years ago my very own husband telling me my Eli/Colby cross puppy I wanted to purchase wasn't a purebred APBT b/c he was "so small." In his mind "pit bulls" ran 80-90 lbs. You wouldn't know how many people I meet like this every week. They *think* AmBullies are really what a pit bull is supposed to be & got the dog b/c they wanted a "pit bull." So many people don't even know what a true pit bull is. And yes, there ARE some who get AmBullies b/c they think the dog is "bad-ass," but there are many, many more who get them simply b/c they don't know what a true pit bull is b/c no one has taken the time to teach them. :(
