Chaining pitbulls? ergh frustration here

okay PLEASE someone tell me I am not in the wrong here. EVERYONE knows the accident that I had with ym dogs last year, I got ALOT of great help on properly containing my dog on a chain. I took alot of advice and put it to good use. Yes my dog stays on a chain but he also does not get left out and forgot. He gets walked, toys, treats, food, bathtime, training time. I dont just forget about my dog.....like some peopel do.

I have been pushing some issues very strongly on a local board about breeding pitbulls and one of those said I need to take care of my issues with chaining my dog beofre trying to press breeding issues on other people.... the "board" is getting on my last nerver I have already been repremanded for voicing my opinion and then told that i need to mind my own business.......because the board wants to stay a "family". They also said I was bordering on harrassement.... I am sorry but I dont want people going through the mistakes that I have.... I have NOTHING against breeding if its done by the RIGHT people and the RIGHT way.


HOW to we help solve such a huge problem without pushing the subject...

The only opinion I can offer is that message boards are good for that. I'm on way too many, and the majority of them suck in one way or another. Some are too lenient towards BYBs, some are too hard on decent breeders, some are too wishy-washy, others are too rough, some seem to attract only bully lovers, and others are way too purist. No board is perfect, and some even less so than others. I wouldn't worry about it. There's no sense in going on a board that has a certain perspective and telling them that they're wrong. Unless, of course, you're a glutton for punishment. ;) Otherwise, just laugh it off, take what benefit you can from that particular board, and move on.

I was the one who posted on that board about the chaining. I know alot of you all chain your dogs and do what you like, But I do not agree with it. My point that I was trying to make is that not everyone is going to agree with you and you just have to say it once and let it go. If you keep hounding you will start something with certain people and only make them push farther away from you. Just my .02
