Dog attacks student on Midlands school bus

EASTOVER, SC (WIS) - A bizarre incident happened Monday morning. A dog got on a Midlands school bus and attacked a student.
According to Karen York with Richland School District One, the dog managed to get on the bus around 6:30 in the morning in Lower Richland County. Once on the bus, the dog, believed to be a pit bull, bit a student on the foot.
The child was transported to the hospital and is expected to be OK.
The incident happened on Goffman Road in the town of Eastover around 6:30am. According to an incident report, the bus stopped to pick up the student and the dog followed him right onto the bus.
Richland County Sheriff's Department Lieutenant Chris Cowan says Richland County Animal Control is investigating the incident.
