jerry clemmons was an amazing dogman. no longer into the dogs, but the blood he produced threw some of the hardest mouthed dogs to date. real punishers. if you want to ask the man yourself, it's not that hard. or you could talk to a few ppl who run mostly that blood. i too had that same curiosity until not too long ago. i am pretty impressed with what i have and my next aquisitions for some time will continue to be six bits blood. just watch out for an undershot as some of the six bits dogs tend to throw those traits. and as someone pointed out, the title of this thread should be changed or deleted all together. especially since dogs and "pits" should not be used together.:)
