Need tips for puppy class

Other than selecting the right dog, what are some tips for someone starting out in conformation showing and is there anything done differently in puppy classes vs the adult dog classes?

Make it FUN for your puppy. Don't push too hard, too fast or you will burn them out and it's not fun for either one of you. Start to work with them on walking into a stance and tell them, "Stay," or "Stand". Praise, praise, praise and play. Make it interesting and a good bonding time and you may just be creating a winning combination.
