Ok......Not mutch happining on the board lately. So hopefully this will spark some Bulldog talk. The question is, out of all the Old blood, Rare blood, Hard to get youre hands on blood, Or flat out extinct blood( in pure form). What Bloodline would you love to get youre hands on, if it were possable. I'll start with a few that I would love to try. All fall somewhare in one of the above catigorys. Wallace Blood, B.Clouse blood, Some pure Kingfish Blood. Mason Hog/art blood, and last I would love to get some more straight Hemphill blood off or down from Danger. Ok who's Next??

just have to know where to look, and be ready to pay for it.
but i hear it's good on its own, or produces monsters crossed with colby or jeep blood.

If I had the opportunity to breed to a dog from an earlier era it would probably have to be Finley's Ch.Bo ..He produced many notable dogs from various bitches..
Im not sure how many time Le June's ChinaTom(Chinaman x Chinagirl) was bred(as he died young)but I sure would have like to get something bred to him..GrCh.Rags,Ch.Kae,Ch.Big Ignorant,& Ch.T Bone are just a few dogs bred down from him..
Hobbs' Bounty Hunter (Chinaman x Tuffy) is also a dog that would be very high on my list of "Dream Studs"..Both ChinaTom & Bounty Hunter died in the prime of their lives,so I would pick either one of these as a "rare" dog to breed to..

Rocky he has one pup The pup he is looking at is essentualy the exact same blood with a quarter out. (to Rascal I belive) He is also suposed to be getting a Pup off of I.M.'s yard. If he were to mix it up throwing some ofrn blood into the mix He would not be running any blood IMHO.

Correct, Big game. The mayday/barracuda pup I have, if you go back about 3 generations, is based on the same dogs as the Return/Jesse James pup.
And actually, my pup, if you go back 6 generations isn't that dissimilar from some of Mikes stuff (heavy Red boy), Of course it would be an outcross even though my girl has a red nose and stunning green eyes.
I was not really planning on doing a breeding, however. I would only breed if I could produce something really special.

Straight Cotton's Bullet blood.Ive got it crossed with maximillian blood. You can get the max stuff a few places .Ive yet to see any straight Bullet blood though. If i ever stumble accross any ill be all over it!Also like to have some more well bred OFRN blood!
I have to agree with the Cotten's Bullet. I have 2 dogs that are 50% Bullet. The male is off Triplett's Rex Jr and the bottom is of Evan Ms. Four Which is off Edward's Stoney and I think Woods' Cocoa I'm not shore dont have the paper in front of me. That male is 15 years old and still on fire and producing. The female is the same bullet stuff except younger abd off a diferant dog. I also know a man that has a tight tight damn near pure Bullet bitch that he will sell for the right price and have a friend that is a friend of the Beckers which Breeds Bullet dogs down here and owned Ch. Beckers Red Dog R.O.M. which is a Bullet dog.

This world is full of crap all the time really a lot of dogs arnt bred the way people THINK they are you HAVE to breed them your self before you can be 100% sure how they are bred. J
You are ever so right TJ,its only when the newbies that were not there argue with the ones who really know these same issues came up in the early 90's and there was a big write up on that subject.when i don't know i sit back listen do research and try to learn.

Hell of a dog. When Buns & CO. and I went to Polar Bear, Art proved he was a finisher... Top quality of a dog. Back then dogs weren't bred as often as they are today.
He did produce some good ones.
R. Carter didn't feel Ch. Joe was that good of a producer and I didn't think Ch. Mike was.
I got some from the Yankee Boys dog from Joe I like.
In fact YB Gr. Ch. Art's dam side was Ch. Joe.

Also I liked watching Ch. Bumper in Motown and his sister Buns had.
Ch. 410 was pretty good of Luke of R.S.
Luke might have produced better then he was because Fargo was no joke for him and Buns and I thought NY. Ny. was better then Fargo but they didn't care to find out.
And for those to make claim about having Art blood after he was gone. BS. Art went back to where he came from and wasn't around the GL area!

I have no doubt you know Red B., many do.
He has had some good dogs and has done well with them.
But don't try and speak about a dogman like Frank.
I knew Frank better then most.
In fact when he died we were suppose to be on our way to IA.
Frank had his faults and I personally saw times were I thought Red could have used better behavior.
To say Frank was a drunk all the time isn't true.
When Frank died he hadn't drank in along time.
Frank and I were like road dogs at the end.
Before that I saw and done a lot of things with Buns and Co. over the years. In fact he also was with us the night with Luther and Ziggy, because Luther was already been to #2 @ Buns. Though the 6 min deal wasn't nothing to behold.
He went with me when I took the pups to McNasty off Joey.
McNasty and Buns, as well as myself knew each other over some time.
This was after K.G. & Co.'s Ch. Red Dog's litter mate brother Bun's Ugly 1xw proved DG into Joey @ the CH. show.
Frank was having trouble breathing then because of "Black Lung".
He could barely walk around the house to the dogs that day.
As far as dogmen's record, I will compare the many grand champions Frank had to Red B.'s record anyday...

Oh wow a test from the master.Let me see I was only at the ferg's place about a million times but i will try to remember.
He didn't have a fence around his yard per say.He had hog pannels around his dog yard though. The back left of the yard was were the dogs were. His mill was a belt mill in the room off the kitchen, that lead to the back door. The PA dog man you are referring to was John Pachoccie(?spelling)and I would never refer to him as a dog man as he got sick at the site of blood.Do you want to know if his step daughter was a good piece of ass I know that to.

Guys, a little too much personal information is being thrown around here. I think the discussion of certain individuals( past/present) (dead, alive) are better suited in Private Messages.
Thanks for your understanding.:)

I respectfully disagree..If a person is deceased I see nothing wrong with using names, but I if said person is alive I would definetly use only initials..
Also,I dont know about the rest of you,but I would MUCH rather read what real dogmen have to say/post than what pet owners/newbies etc have to say..Just my opinion..

"He didn't have a fence around his yard per say.He had hog pannels around his dog yard though."
"Oh wow a test from the master.Let me see I was only at the ferg's place about a million times but i will try to remember."
Well I can see you must have missed the fact they were clearly split wood logs he would use to heat his house. The fence was about 6 feet high and as he used some up he would replace them. Since you were there a million times you should have been able to tell they weren't hog panels...
In his back yard where the dogs were, kept inside this split log fence, he kept off the ground, Cajun Style whelping pens.
"His mill was a belt mill in the room off the kitchen, that lead to the back door."
The room off the kitchen was a food panty and sometimes he would let females whelp pups there. When Billy Jack was a pup he had a couple females from time to time have pups there. The room wasn't big enough to work a dog.
But you were close. The mill was kept right outside that room IN THE KITCHEN.
Yes, it was a belt but I was hoping, if you saw it, you indulge about it a little more. It was much more then just a belt mill.
It was like a piece of furniture. The frame was wood and stained and varnished. It was wide and the belt was like a rubber. Though this mill turned with the greatest of ease. You could stand a pup on it and the mill would let it roll right down it because it was so free turning. It was based after the old Walter's mills. Kind of like the late Jim Culbertson use to make, but way, way better.
"The PA dog man you are referring to was John Pachoccie(?spelling)and I would never refer to him as a dog man as he got sick at the site of blood.Do you want to know if his step daughter was a good piece of ass I know that to.
So you knew Blair Hetrick?Cause thats who started Red in the dogs. Now are YOU serious, you never lost?lol Ya right."
Yes, I knew Blair for years and it was Blair who Fergie got the dogs from. He might have got dogs from John but Fergie got Blair's dogs. Everyone knew that. Fergie lived down the street from Red and since Fergie was in dogs before Red this must have been how Red came to know him.
BTW you got that right...0!
Just like Red only lost once. lol
"About hearing that story years later bullshit pal I was there were you?And it was an hour not 45 min YOUR WRONG.I'll bet the farm on that."
LOL But you still didn't answer the question. Since it wasn't OTC why didn't he do it the way he wanted to in the first place? :)
Why didn't he go double or nothing at the time instead of picking up? That way there wouldn't have been the lost and they could have known for sure right then?
Why dis a Gr. Ch.? Country won 5. That means 5x people thought they could get by him and 5x times they didn't!
"And please Charlie might not have made it you have got to be kidding, and I thought you were a dogman."
Careful on the dising...there is no doubt is there?
"Thats why he won another AFTER that one at 6 1/2yrs.And by the way just to show what a bulldog GrChCharlie was he beat Ch toro when he had heartworm!"
The late Pit Bull Rick had already lost with Toro. I think that was a safe bet. Rick also lost with Ch. Z Boy.
BTW, the standard for reference to a Gr. Ch. by SDJ is, a dog can not have a lost. Now I can see the reference if the dog won 5 before the lost but this wasn't the case with Ch. Charlie.
"I have paid my dues pal I dont need to kiss no ass, knowing a few of the great dogmen means nothing but being respected by them means alot.I can go to just about any oldtimers place on the east coast and be welcome. Now did I pass your test."
Then I'm sure we have crossed paths over the years.
Since you've been around so long and paid your dues then you remember the show I spoke of and was there. RIGHT? You SHOULD because of the spot......!
If you were there and hang out with every one including Frank, then you knew Frank was the right of me and Captain Ben was to the left of me.
Remember the debate about Gr. Ch. Luther and who it was with?
I remember the year, do you? I mean you knowing Red, Fergie and Frank and all for so long.

Oh I agree on the names.
But please remember, these are the handles they reported under in SDJ.
None of these are their real names.
So far even the ones that have died, their last names hasn't been posted.

"Virgil dogs;279658]I didnt mean any dis respect to Frank I knew him for years so dont get your panties in a bunch."
Are you trying to be cute with the a sexist remark because men don't wear panties or are you wanting to find out who sqwats to pee?
Anyway, don't worry about it. I free ball it anyway. ROTFL!
"I never did see him sober so what if he was alive he would say the same thing about me.I liked the shit out of him and he ALWAYS brought a game dog."
Well, Vir you must have not known Frank that long or would have seen him sober many times like I have.
I remember when he got started with his well known relation and knew his old partner in B&B Kennels as he would advertise in SDJ.

Are your knees sore from idol worship?
I've been laughing since you posted who the greatest was and how you knew everyone so well. LOL
"Are you realy that inscure that anyone who knows these old timers scares you?"
Na, just tried of BS artist who try to claim they know certain people so well when they don't! :)))
"Pal your a big fish in a small pond relax Im just hear to help out the youngins."
In every pond there are bottom feeders known as suckers.
Tread lightly....
"I think your just a blowhard, the doggame is full of them."
Think so? Scared man can't gamble and jealous man can't work.
Find out for sure..
"Ya know the funnt part is no one around here remembers you,if your the Mike I remember Fergie scewed the shit out of you."
Well I'm not the Mike you remember because Fergie and I never deal dogs together nor would he bring one. As for remembering, man you show how green you are. Ask Fergie who I am.. Red knows.
But Frank's wife is still alive and the only time she saw a show, she remembers who n da []. :)
At the first Cajun Reunion better dogmen then you or Red was there. Funny got nothing but love and respect.
I'm not surprise how you respond, that is the style around that area...
"Thats ok though he made his living that way.You remind me of Ozzie that dog rubbin piece of shit, after 15 mins around that guy and you wanted to punch his lights out,But that was what Brian was for."
Now you don't need to be that insulting lol.
But I can't argue about what you said about OS. LOL
"Most of your last post was wrong but I dont want to banty wits with a know it all.Tattoo had a rock for a head just like you,a nice guy but argue with a rock and you would get farther."
No you don't want to DEBATE points with someone DOES know!
Tattoo. LOL D.P. was fun when I was around him. But he wasn't there that night with the Captain.
BTW all was correct.............!
"Lets just say I got all these names form a book and just got my first dog last week,he's out of grch dead game ace gottie.Keep peddlin them pups pal."
At least someone wants what I feed and breed and you?
