Gotti pitbulls?

okay I am not looking for another dog but I do get on craiglist to look. Well there was a blue pitbull placed on there saying she had gotti bloodlines and that she had papers and she was AKC. Well pitbulls are not akc. So when I asked her if she was ukc not akc the lady was like oh ya thats probably it. So she went on to say the the gotti line was great and expensive dogs and told me they were rehoming her for 350$ which for ONE is way to much for adopting on craigslist.

But y main question is there something special about gotti?

okay that is what I thought. I have recently been mentoring with some UKC showers and I asked her about it and she had never even heard of gotti.

I just never heard much about them.

Yup, just like Telitubbies, Barney, and Beanie Babies, the Gotti line of dogs are a fad. Most are overgrown 90-100lb. huffing & puffing products of money hungry wanna be breeders. A lot of eager people looking to buy an their first APBT tend to get drawn into the infinite number of websites selling these dogs. They take like 100 pictures of their dogs, and have captions describing the dimensions of the dogs head. And the ole classic....rare blue color.

Gotti, and Razorsedge is all that is around here, and if you dont have these lines you cant sell a dog. I have quality game bred dogs and people here wont look at them, but they will pay thousands of dollars on a dog that is "100%" Gotti, But the dog looks like crap. It just blows my mind.

FULL: I think that is everywhere bro. So many peeps have created these huge 'blue' monsters. Someone down the road from me just bred two blue mutts and are asking 800 bucks for em'. They're only 2 weeks old and 6 of the 12 are ALREADY spoken for!!! Two of my 3 are just 'mutts' and I don't know their background (yes, they're fixed) but I would WAY rather have a dog off them before I bought a 800 dollar 100 pound freak. This site has realllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllly changed my perception of what a apbt is really supposed to look like and I thank everyone for that:)

Gotti, and Razorsedge is all that is around here, and if you dont have these lines you cant sell a dog. I have quality game bred dogs and people here wont look at them, but they will pay thousands of dollars on a dog that is "100%" Gotti, But the dog looks like crap. It just blows my mind.
Yup, its like that here i recently put a ad in the paper as a bluff saying i had a pitbull for giveaway with papers. Got about 8 calls. The funny thing is i wasent giving our selling any dogs away. But i was getting guestions like is it short and stocky is it huge is it blue blablabla. And 90 percent of the calls where people from the project's. I also got a call from a guy that was like im looking for a female i got a irish pitbull and need a compainin for him. *click*. Its amazing. In my area pitbulls are somewhat wanted in demand but everybody's poor and want free pitbulls and are bums. And they dont want a traditional apbt if they even know what that is. So i basically cant breed because its terrible here not as i would want to sell them but i mean it not even possible if i wanted to give some away. So if i wanted to breed to improve stock our cross a blood id have to keep most of them our cull most of them.

If the dog IS AKC registered it is probably an American Staffordshire Terrier...heck not probably it has to be LOL Since AKC doesn't register APBTs as you said.

I know what you are saying....but If you have 2 dogs that are truely great examples of the breed in every way. Dogs truely worthy of being bred. What you need to do is go to some shows. Meet some likeminded people.Bulldog people! People that are active with the dogs. Look for people that run the same blood or are looking into trying out the blood you run. let it be known you have two great dogs you want to breed, but before doing so you need PROFFESSIONAL homes to PLACE them in. If you cant find anyone willing to take a chance on one,.... well maybee you need to reavaluate the breeding. If you do a breeding and thay all (or the majority of them) go to John Q. Public vs. Working homes. There was no reason for the breeding to have ever taken place. There will be no titles or accomplishments earned. There will be no Feedback as to if this was a succsesfull breeding or not. Always keep in mind the fact that any moron can stick two inferior dogs together. This does not make you a breeder. How does the quote go? something like " If you are not breeding with the intentions of producing specimans supperior to the parents, you are not a breeder....... youre a pervert who likes to watch dogs have sex. lol.... haha, thanks big game, i planned on the show thing soon i would like to do it next year def with weight pulling in iwpa i think it is. I would really like to meet other dog people but tranportion always the thing and accually meeting a decent one. There is somebody about 3 hours from me that seems to be known in weight pull and breeding good games dogs my qoal is to see his yard and talk to him in the summer if he cool with it.

i wouldnt even call them pitbulls...actually even though its the breeds name i dont use pitbull too often...i just call her a bulldog because the name was given to "pit" bulldogs, my dog doesnt live up to the name so i why call it that? so i wouldnt call those overdone dogs a classic name. i dont know im stupid and borderline drunk...lol

Razor Edges were, once, bulldogs... the biggest part today are crap! Gotti (based in all I know) were born to be crap!
