Hello all!

I hope this thread is intended to combat the myth that dogs with game blood are automatically fought or bred for fighting purposes. Patrick and Dennis have been breeding dogs for decades. These dogs have gone to peoples around the world and back. Those dogs have been bred to and away from Patrick blood. The owners of these dogs come from an array of environments, social settings, and economic levels. The generalization H$U$, Peta, etc are promoting by stating that people with registered APBTs own them for fighting purposes is bogus and needs to stop. We can all scream and kick all day long without making a difference. We need images, videos, articles, and whatever else shows these dogs in a positive light.

I and others are amidst developing a few sites dedicated to show our dogs in the best possible light. Unfortunately, I have recently started a new job that leaves very little free time. Therefore, i am tapping on the resources of the game-dog.com community for moving this project forward. I am "recruiting" people that have experience building sites, people with experience making videos, people with experience using APBTs in therapy or other community type activities, people with experience "googling" or otherwise searching for information, etc.

I am sure i have not included all the types of people we need for this and other APBT positive projects. If you believe to have an ability or experience that can move our efforts forward, please feel welcome to join.

Feel free to contact me via email by using this site. I believe there is an option to email rather than PM.

My email address: rockyshuman@hotmail.com (Moderators: if my email address violates your rules, please do remove).

For now, feel free to start showing off your dogs. Please do identify if your dog(s) have PP blood as this is the latest line under persecution and exaggeration. We need to make it visibly clear that our game-bred dogs are being used as pets AND/OR in legal and/or community related activities.

I really hope to get things rolling.

YIS,

Rocky H. Balboa

Sounds good. Good luck! Once you have the link, let me know. I'll add it to my myspace groups and the like.

I'm at home all day. No problem. But I would prefer to not mention how the dogs are bred at all. Just that they are APBT"s who don't bite and have good quality's. I know there are dogs out there worthy of valor. Our breed has skills, hell it was known as the Nanny dog forever. They do agility, they are dock dogs they pull weight and they serve in detection in crisis. They are companions and do a lot more that hang onto springpoles and grab beef hides. This has got to have a softer, milder side to it if it's going to take hold.

The Humane organizations are being very loud about the irrefutable connection between game bred dogs and dog fighting/er. We intend to show that "game bred" refers to ancestry. People that have an educated appreciation of pure breeds know that importance of line and in-breeding. While it certainly wonderful to have scatter bred doing good things, we also want to show GAME BRED dogs involved in obedience, therapy, agility, school pet, etc. We want to match that wonderful images/videos/news to pedigrees. ALL pure breeds have pedigrees registered with a "kennel club". Yet, only ours are deemed illicit.

We totally agree with your last sentence. That is why community work and interaction is our main focus. The springpole thing would be better served if we had footage/images of other breeds having a blast with them hides.

Thank you for your thoughts.

I want to send a thank you to the people that have contacted me so far wanting to volunteer in such a positive way. It has amazed me most to learn that it is those WITHOUT APBTs that have offered their help most. Those who complaint, complaint, complaint and do nothing.....SHAME ON YOU. Shoot your dogs and join a debate team.

I look forward to working with them and those who still want to help. The work will not be much but will be valuable. I will start coordinating with the volunteers some time end of this week or beginning of next. Thanks again game-dog.com for permitting me to offer this forum a way to do not just talk.

I appreciate petbull lovers more and more each day. There are the ones that really want to be in the front lines. In contrast, so-called "dogmen" want to go underground....pathetic!!! Go hide your heads in the ground and believe no-one will know you have APBTs.

The solution is educating those in the middle of the debate not those extremist humaniacs that compose the ranks of Peta, H$U$, SPCA, etc. I certainly KNOW the JP Goodwin's of America will not change their believes even if God came to them in a dream. I want to focus on the general public that is being fooled into believing the stereotypes, faked statistics, and generalizations of the breed and their owners. Let us focus on those and we will win the battle of public support.

I am not asking for a lifetime commitment. I am asking for a few minutes of your time. The more people involved, less time will be required of each. If you are unsure, look at your dog(s) in the eye and ask if they are worth your troubles.

Yours In Script,

Rocky H. Balboa

Marty, believe it or not you ARE accomplishing your goal. Our task is a thankless one. I am 1000% positive your site has helped more than a few to see our dogs in true light. Your site is the light that clears the fog of misrepresentation and profiling of our dogs.

I for one will tell you that game-dog.com was the first APBT site i visited when starting to surf the web.

I agree! I've learned more in the past year on this site than I did the previous 10 years. This site has pretty much been my best friend as far as the dogs are concerned. Everyone here is always objective and doesn't sugar coat anything. I don't mind hurt feelings, they make you a stronger person. Very rarely do "real" friends tell you the truth or have enough knowledge to do so.

This site has made me a better dog owner and in doing so has accomplished it's goal.
