There is a guy located near me who is collecting interested members for an ADBA club. He has 19 out of a required 30 people interested. I was reading on the ADBA site and apparently dogs that are unregisterable, but want to participate, need the LPP status. My white dog could "pass" as a APBT, although to some may say he looks like a American Bulldog mix. He is only 70lbs, though looks much heavier. I would love to compete with him in weight pull.

My APBT/Boxer mix is another dog I'd love to compete with, especially if they will offer treadmill compeitions. She physically looks more like a Boxer, with the exception of her face which resembles an APBT. She also has a docked tail.

Has anyone ever gone through the LLP process? All I want to do is compete with my dogs at fun shows...I know they are just mutts but they are all I have. :)

Their pictures are in my gallery, for reference.

You may already be aware of this, but all of your dogs mentioned can compete in weight pull events with the American Pulling Alliance (APA), International Weight Pull Asociation (IWPA), and United Pulling Federation (UPF) as those are all breed associations.

As for the limited performance program listing for the ABDA here's a link to their information page http://www.adbadog.com/p_pdetails.asp?fpid=59&pg=59 and to their application http://www.adbadog.com/uploads/pdf%20forms/LPP_20application[1].pdf The biggest issue here is that the dog is spaye/neutered, and that they are purebred, but non registerable with 3 gens back verified as required by the ABDA. I guess if they'd pass on looks in the photographs I guess you could go for it, but knowing (atleast the boxer) is mixed I'd just look into the other organizations.

Ceaser, depending on how the club feels, you should be able to compete without the LPP. The fun shows that I attend always have dogs who are not registered, and the judges and members are always just as fair to them as they are the registered dogs....

The only reason for an LPP would be if you wanted to compete in the fun classes at sanctioned shows. You don't need them for fun shows, at least not any fun show I've ever been to. Also, LPPs aren't any good for weight pulling, at least not last time I heard.
