Anyone can say their dogs is the best and so on. But a Blue nose is not a true APBT it is mixed with ABMT. But if thats what you want try to do alot research on the bloodline first. go to google.com or dogpile.com it my help you.

I used ABMT = American BullMastiff Terrier, but made a mistake ment to say
American Staffordshire Terrier is what blue nose are mixed with

what is the ideal size and the weight for gamedog? There is no ideal size, as gamedogs come in all sizes, there is preferences however, and I prefer the 30-40 range although I have one sitting at 52OTC right now.

I was curious on why people consider dogs with a blue coat not to be a true APBT. Isn't blue just a diluted black? I remember reading a Staffordshire Bull Terrier book, there was an article about the Blue Paul, it mentioned the old time breeders had a hard time keeping their coats blue because they didn't understand genetics. If they knew black brindle crossed with fawn would have produced dogs with blue coats there would be more Blue Pauls running around. If that comment on genetics were true, then APBTs with blue coats should naturally occur.

Yes, blue is a dilute of the black gene, but its rare for it to pop up in our gamedogs as we don't breed for color. Am STaff breeders however do breed for color so its more common.

Yes, I agree with you. The best coat color in APBTs are from the dogs that are the most game. But what I really wanted to get at was blue coats can occur naturally and were not necessarily the results of cross breeding.

My cousin paid $800 for a Blue nose pit, she's very agressful and active. But me personaly I think that's too much money unless you can really put it to work for you.

if you like the big bully types that's fine. but when the only thing that's between you and wild boar is a 90lb muscle bound, stubby legged brick I would worry. It's like asking a lineman to dance in Swan Lake. Not gonna be a pretty sight. I like 'em lean, muscular, but agile!
However, if you only want it for show or to build you a rep., then get what you want. After all, it's going to be your dog and no one else's. And what you spend is hope to you. Good Luck!

$800-2000, damn thats a lot of money. To me its not about buying what YOU like, its about peddlers, I hate em. My top three bloodlines to stay far, far away from are Gotti, Razors Edge and Camelot, there are more thats just a few I'd never touch.
And some were complaining about a wellbred 1xw for $2000??
