We are on top of the IP address's, these new member that are being banned are actually old members that have been banned rejoining the site... don't let it worry you ;)

Some have dynamic IP address's and we have no way to ban all the IPs at this time.

Thanks for you understanding.

Well since you've made a post about banning IP addresses......I got a question for you :/

On my site, there is a member who has the same IP address as "another" user (I wont mention any names on the forum) but swears that they didnt make another account and has no idea why they "share" an IP address. Have you ever come across anything like that? Two different people with the same IP address.....?

They could just be BS'n me, but I'm trying to give em' the benefit of the doubt :/

Alot of users may have same ip addy because some internet providers have the same addy. I know COX customers and AOL customers have the same ip addy even if they are in different parts of the country.

Dunlap, there are 3 possible causes that I know of.

One, maybe this person has another family member who has also registered onto your site without him/her knowing.

Two, this person has a dynamic address meaning it changes quite often. People using dial-up connections are like this, however I will admit that in my experience from here, those people will share IP addresses with over 20 others...maybe more. And mind you that this person himeself will have several IP addresses under his screenname, not just 1 or 2.

Three, this person is flat out lying to you thinking you were just born last night. (which sadly is what happens most often on this site)

Hey Marty....

I think something is wrong with my account :( we recently moved across the stated and have a new internet service provider. I can't access my pm's and it doesn't show me in the members list anymore  . I can login and see my control panel and post on some topics but that's about it.

I cannot send you or Shon or anyone for that matter pm's or emails regarding this either...says I don't have privledges anymore...... I haven't violated any rules...that I am aware of..HELP
