At what age is a dog too old to hunt? I've heard 7 but I wanted some other opinions. Thanks. :)

I don't remember what dog it was, but i remember a story of a dog that went at 9, however that was not ur regular every day dog, he was the definition of a bulldog

I read one lately too of a dog that won old, but I can't recall...it'll come to me later. I do know that Ken Allen's Double Gr CH Tornado won her first at 13 months and her 10th (!) at the age of 7.

IMO it all depends on the dog.

it mreally does depend on the dog my neighbors dog is 9 yrs old and he still takes him from time to time it depends on how active and in condition the dog is happy hunting

Someone refresh my memory, but a foundation dog in one of the member's ped was untouched until 9!! I wouldnt take an older dog to the woods to many times, but that depends on how he feels. Never to old to learn a new trick.
