Thanks for the info.

This will be interesting to see how they make the dogs look.
I already have an idea of the type of dogs I think they will use in the scenes/show. :(

Let's hope we'll be in for a pleasant surprise.

I received a mild shock recently from our local media. During a story on ammendments made to a recent dog ordinance, the reporter was actually showing a normal, friendly, wiggle-butt pit bull. I was stunned! Usually, they opt for stock fighting video footage.

Maybe, just maybe, some heads are being removed from some rear ends and some people are turning a deaf ear to the media hype about these dogs.

I can only hope!

Yeah now it will be in our dramas soap operas and public service announcements. What next will they have to make a superhero against the issue with our dogs. Yeah, if they do they will call him "Dog fighter fighter" and he can fly around the world stopping dog matches with his cur infecting laser beams that he shoots out of his eyes and his extra culling super strength that allows him to leap huge kennels in a single bound, anything to brainwash the population and bash the breed.

So far this episodes has been one stereotype after another. I'm not surprised, really...You can tell the part the ASPCA had in this.

Absolutely, you know it.
 that sucked, yea lets show kids that don't know any better how to feed small dogs and cats to (man eating )pitbulls and how they (train) them. what bullsh*t, i like CSI but that really pissed me off. they are just making it worst for the animals because kids soak that crap up and think thats how u train dogs to fight, very sad:(

Okay, now that it's over...I find two things disturbing about the whole affair...

1. If you go to the cbs CSI discussion board, people are saying that they watched CSI for years and never turned their heads, but watching the dog fighting scenes, they couldn't watch and were appauled *sp*. Anyone else find this a bit disturbing? For years, these people have watched humans shot, stabbed, and what other sick ideas they come up with, and you see it, but the people could watch that. Yet when animals specifically dogs were involved they had to turn their heads...How incrediblely insane that is, or am I the only one disturbed by that?

and

2. It didn't help anyone. It hurt the image of our breed a bit more. Further pushed the ASPCA propaganda, and they even threw a Rottweiller in there, because heck, while we're making one breed look bad, why not throw in another. Stereotype after stereotype from the kind of people who are involved with the breed, to the misunderstanding of things such as threadmills, to demonizing every single person involved. Also, making the kid who killed the woman look like a "savior" of sorts. They were like "yeah, he killed her, but she was killed dogs, so it's okay." What the heck! Again, what is wrong with society where killing a human is okay, if you are saving an animal?

Wow! Just finished watching it. Like was mentioned one stereotype after another. They might as well have said "This message brought to you by... The ASPCA." Some of the things were surprising, however, like the talks about rubs and such. Not really everyday knowledge. They did also touch on the fact that the dogs all get euthanized because they are considered "dangerous".

OK.. that show was absolutely absurd. Pit Bulls being let out of their cages to attack a dead woman? Dog fights showing Pit Bulls fighting mutts? A woman strapped to a breeding stand and euthanized? I thought for sure they were gonna call it a rape rack. ugh.

That show pissed me off. Typical attack on us but worse because so many people watch that show. Its like hte number 1 show

Why didnt the writers strike stop that show like all the others? Did the ASPCA write it fro them?

Did the ASPCA write it fro them?It sure does seem like it.

What did you expect, cookies and candy?-JNope, it was exactly what I thought it would be, but I had to watch anyway. I guess in some hope that it wouldn't be a load of bull, and in some ways, it was one of those events, when you can't even look away. Plus I wanted to see if they used American Bullies or APBT.

kind of off topic, but there was a law and order on today with a man eating pit bull too. I have to admit the concentrated effort going on to mis inform and bash the breed is even starting to suprise me. How could you push such filthy lies and sleep at night? How can there be no response anywhere in the media? Well I won't watch law and order anymore, and I never watched csi to begin with. We all need to right letters to the diferent networks complaining. Maybe if they see hw many people they are pissing off they will change there ways...probably not, but it's worth a try right?

Well, so much for giving that piece of sh** show another chance. I try to curb my cynicism and look where it gets me. I'm sorry I even watched it last night thereby contributing to their Nielson ratings. You better believe that's the last time I watch any of the C.S.I. franchise.

coolhandjean

How can there be no response anywhere in the media? The Media, especially the News, don't care about lying about most things. They just care about getting those ratings. If it hurts the people in the area or in the nation, too bad, the ratings are all that counts.
