from what ive read some fruit and veggies can be beneficial. Ive expirimented with apples, bananas, strawberries, carrots and once tangerine haha. anytime i give the dogs these items i try to break em down pretty well so they dont have digestion problems. Apples are good low-fat treat that can be given in moderation, they contain potassium, which stimulates the immune system, and pepsin, which helps the stomach, too much could cause you dog to have the runs. However you have to be careful to make sure you take out all the seeds since those are toxic to dogs. Bananas are a good source of pottasium which helps build muscle. Carrots are a good low fat treat that contain essential vitamins. the strawberries and tangerines i just happen to give him once or twice in small amounts he seemed to like em. I no citrus fruits contain acids so too much of that can cause an upset stomach

Apples are good, but remove the seeds. Grapes are a no-no, as are raisins. Most other things are good in moderation. I've given peaches, apples, bananas, some mixed fruit cocktail, green beans, sweet potato, pear, carrots, other stuff I can't remember right now. I recently started giving pineapple because it supposed to help with poo-eating. Same with pumpkin.

That's the idea. I've got one here who loves to indulge herself in the yard, and supposedly both pineapple and pumpkin taste good going down, but not so good when they come back out.
