I've noticed that Hemi is starting to stand over Justice. I told Lydia he is in a dominating stage. Is there anything that I need to worry about? Do I need to stop him when he does that? I've told you guys in the past that he bites at her legs and I am doing my best to curb that. He is doing alot better I just make sure I watch him when they are together. But I saw that the other day and said that i would make a post and get you guys suggestions......

Bro just to warn u but u might have to seperate hemi pretty soon, if he's early starter then for sure he's gonna be turning on pretty soon. What u described is definately being dominent over the other dog, it might turn into a fight if the other dog tries to act dominent back so watch every move closely

She seems to be submissive to him but I will keep my eye on them!!!

at about 3 months, Aubrey started to stand over my JRT Colonel like that....just "stand-off-ish."

we just had to keep a close eye on them, and not allow them to play together or get them wriled up. she stayed in last winter, b/c she was a little pup. this past summer, she began staying out on her chain while I was at work in the afternoon before the wife got home, and over night. she just progressed to more time outside.

now, she can come in only when both of us are home w/ the JRT loose, but that usually lasts about 5 minutes before we have to crate up the little one before fur flies. he stays away from her out on her chain, and she's only allowed off if we're playin with the flirt pole, going on a walk, or coming in the house on her lead. we only have a 4 ft chain link fence, and she figured out she could climb....

thankfully, she knows when she can go apesh*t, and when to relax, although she's always crazy, if that makes sense.

just get a chain spot ready, and allow him time out on it to be familiar with it....chances are, hemi's home will soon be separated from your other dog, whether it's out on a nice chain, or crate and rotate.

good luck, keep us posted.
