hey guys have not been on here in a while well have not psoted in a while just been lurking and reading but I just got 2 new dogs friday and I am very very pleased with them. Very friendly dogs and LOVE to lick the licking never stops. I got them both for free. Owners moved and were not able to take them to new home due to rules and financial reasons. But since they have been here a week they have been great. I got a male and female which have been breed. Female was 3 1/2 weeks preg. When i got her.

Both are registered with Adba and have 4 generation pedigree's I am just sent in the transfer of ownership!

But I wanted to share!

I have the ped. scanned to my computer if anyone wants to see I ams till learning about bloodlines so I dont really know if they are good ones or not. but as soon as I can I am am going to join the apbt pedigree site and put it on there.

Nevermind.

This is the same woman whose "story" is that two of her dogs, Baby & Spoon, escaped her yard and attacked a neighbor's dog. Despite not being home alone (Her husband was there), she "tried everything" to break her two dogs off of the neighbor's dog. She ended up shooting them both, one of which was shot twice and lived (She had animal control euthanize him later). This event occured on November 10, 2007 (As per her memorial post on another forum).

Didn't you just shoot your other dogs last week? What happened to the male you didn't kill? Glad to see you found replacements so quickly and as an added bonus they were free and bred! Other peoples children I swear!

It wasn't last week, it was November 10th. That's a good two-weeks plus grace period between shooting Spoon and Baby and aquiring some new toys. (ETA: Oops, you've had these new dogs a week already, so that renders my math null and void. My bad.) Did you secure your yard adequately to prevent that from happening again? How do your neighbors whose dog got mauled that day feel about your new acquisitions?

Frankly it is not our business to pass judgment and we shudnt meddle in what other people do with there dogs since we do not feed them / take care of them.

So, how long are these dogs going to live I wonder? How long will it be before you kill them for YOU irresponsibility? You must be an AMAZING shot by the way. Poor dogs. Why have this breed if you cannot contain them? Why have it if what they are capable of horrifies you?

Guys please please dont bring baby and spoon into this. I wish you guys could have been there you would understand how I felt and why I did what I did. I LOVED MY DOGS with a passion and have made sure that nothing like this will EVER happen again. My yard has been secured I have had a privacy fence put up and I am also have my yard concreted to prevent any digging. Even though callie and blue came together I have them seperated. Taking these 2 dogs have really helped me. SO PLEASE dont judge me I know you dont aggree and not everyone will but I saved my neighbors dog and did what I thought was right.

My neighbor does not even care I got these 2 new dogs.

I am trying to be as responsible as I can and like I said before on the other forum I take all the blame for what happened I dont deny that its my fault. SO PLEASE dont bring it onto this forum.

REALLY..you were alone..not according to the account you posted on various other forums...it is really sad you got rid of your dogs and got these two. I am amazed that your dogs had time to get out dig under a fence, attack the neighbors dog, you ran over could not seperate them, then ran back got a gun, ran back again...shot one dog that is fighting with 2 other dogs right in the heart never hitting the other 2 and the bullet did not go allthe way through..then shoot the other dog as well...all the while your husband, neighbor and the "someone" else at your house that you reference here could not help, AND, the neighbors dog only suffered minor injuries....you are a liar, and if this board does not care that you murdered your dogs..well they can delete this. Oh and I guess you got over your fear of pit bulls being baby killer huh.

I am a pretty responsible owner never had any issues have always taken care of my dogs they love people and whatnot This morning my husband let the dogs out to use the bathroom we always watch them and make sure they go and they run back onto the porch we have a fenced yard. Today we let spoon and baby out and let them go I was doing something inside and went back out to get them to notice baby and spoon were nowhere to be found. they had dug a hole under the fence and were attacking the dog dog next door. My first instinct was to try and seperate it and that is what I tried to do I flew around the fence no shoes and all and grabbed baby and I did EVERYTHING I could do to try and get them off of her I hit them sticks I almost broke babys leg trying to get her off but spoon and baby would not let go for anything I tried I did everything I could do to help and got bit in the process but I did not even notive it until I got inside . So I ran back inside and grabbed my gun..... I have NEVER in my entire life thought I would ever use it unless it was at the gun range and I shot my dogs Baby died instantly cause I shot her in the heart but spoon I shot her once and she still kept attacking her so I shot her again animal control is having her humanely euthanized immediatly that is what I wanted them to do. I KNOW in my heart I did the right thing because it was not the neighbors dogs fault. What if there had been a kid outside...I dont want to be responsible for my dogs killing a child. I LOVE pitbulls and I know they have that aggression issue but I never thought it would happen to me i even tried to prepare myself for it if it ever happend but I never thought it would be like this and I just feel like such a bad owner for letting this happen. I feel I set my dogs up to fail... its my fault.

I had someone at my house during the whole situation when i ran inside to get the gun I told them to call the cops. when the pooce got her I could barely hold my self up and explained to them the entire situation and they even told me I did the right thing and so did animal control. I am covering all the vet bills on my neighbors dog but I just dont know what to do with myself. I feel like I let my dogs down.... and I did not even hestitate to shoot them..... I just cannot stop crying and If my dogs would have killed shiba... I would not be able to live with it. I say the pain in her eyes as my dogs tried to kill her..... its so heart renching to see what they were doing to her I had blood all over my body that the police thought I got bit.

I dont know what to do with myself. Please Please dont press the issue or say I am a bad owner because I am not a bad owner I feel like one but I know I am not. I made one mistake and I set my dogs up to fail and I accept that it was my fault and I NEVER should have let this happen.

My dog was even on the new yesterday for watching the veterans parade

Shiba was taken to the vet clinic and is doing fine she is in shock and just freaked out she has alot of cuts and gashes but they got her cleaned up really well and she just got home. The neighbor is very understanding and grateful for what I did to save her dog. I am just not in the right state of mind right now and dont know how to deal with this.

I would really need some prayers.

by the way my husband was NOT there I called him to come home! I was ALONE! I had 2 girls in my house that were here for a photoshoot because I am a photographer and they called the police. Please dont bring this onto the forum if you need to PM.
REALLY not home...how come you said he let them out..and you had someone else there with you

too many details make for a hard story to keep up...next time you kill your dogs keep the story short and sweet

yeah that is another interesting "story", supposedly some guy on craigslist just gave her these papered dogs, pregnant and all...Boudreax lined dogs at that...again something sounds mighty fishy

My opinion?

Have the bitch spayed as we don't need any more "papered" moneymakers out there. Second, find a real responsible home for the dogs and get yourself some stuffed animals.

He left right after he let them out.I had 2 girls here for a photoshoot! they are the ones that called the police I was ALONE trying to seperate the dogs . I dont want to argue with you guys. I thought I could get help from the members on how to deal with this. I dont deny this being my fault I KNOW it is. My husband left and I should have stayed outside with the dogs and none of this would have happened and the dog had a broken leg and a buch of cuts but the owner did not care she just tossed her back outside on the chain but that is her choice I saved her dog so she could sit on the chaine and be ignored. I have always tried to be respoinsible with my dogs I got them spayed and shad is getting neutered next week. I came to these boards a long time ago to learn about the breeds. I stopped going to the dog park, I did everythign i thought was right and I was still learning . But I made a mistake and I have to deal with it for the rest of my life. I blame myself I loved my dogs SOOO MUCH I have the pictures to prove it

Like I said I dont want to argue about it. I did nto want to get these new dogs but my husband though it would help me so I took them and they have helped me. I have made my yard safe and I am here 24/7 so I dont plan on ANYTHING ever happening again.

I love coming to these forums and seeing pictures and stories about showing and there happy dogs but I dont want to come here and be reminded everday of what happened because I will never forget what happened nobody has to remind me because I will NEVER forget. Ever time I here a bark it scares me and its not even ym own dogs barking.

this is all I will say. I am sorry you guys dont believe me and I dont plan on trying to change your beliefs.

I think that you should get a break stick and learn how to use it. Practice with it during games of tug. Good luck with them!

Edit: People make mistakes. Even people who think they are prepared for every situation have had accidents. Sometimes what a person was taught goes right out the window during a panic situation.

OMG...this didn't click right away, I remember reading about the dogs having to be shot on another forum and thinking why doesn't this person know how to break a fight or have a break stick or at least a less lethal stun gun/cattle prod type thing handy when they have several dogs at home...this is definitely a completely different story than what was told on the other forum after she shot her dogs

I found the add on craigslist about them and they are free. the add did not have pctures but I messaged them and they sent me photos of the male and he is a gorgeous dog. Well what they did not say in the add is that the female is pregnant by the male. I LOVE the male but they did not send me photos of the pregnant female. I think this is the best way for me to overcome my fears is by helping those in need though my family is totally against me having anymore Apbt. I Love th breed and I would hate to see these 2 get stuck with some BYB. they say the female is 4 weeks into her pregnancy so its still possivle to abort i think. I am VERY against abortion but it might be best for her and to get spayed in the process.

They are completely free and I am going to look at them tomorrow and see how they respond to me. They reason they are rehoming them is because they are moving.

Shadwrack is still here getting neutered next week

ands I wont argue that it was fishy that they were free at all because I thought it was fishy, I drove 2 hours into the middle of the boondocks to get them and I thought it was a scam.

But Calie is going to be spayed after her pups I have already made arrangements for that
I already have Spay/Neuter contracts that someone gave me from another forum for puppies.

I have not let ANYONE loose in my backyard unless they are leashed or have a chain on and even then I am staying outside until they do there business. I am taking every necessary precaution. I do plan on getting a taser of some sort and breaksticks to have at easy access.

Get Blue, Shad, & Callie altered. The ADBA now allows neutered dogs to compete in weight pull, so you can still pull with him. At 2 years old, he's been given ample time to mature physically.

Um..............why the hell do u have dogs if u can't handle them, u seem flustered with these 2 new dogs, why in the hell would u get them if u had problems before with multiple dogs. Whats wrong with u don't u think things through, there aint a damn thing wrong with only having one dog, its easier to handle one dog and on another note u just got 2 full grown dogs that u have no idea what type of temperment they have underlying. U should really consider getting rid of these 2 new dogs and sticking with just one at a time. JMO

Hey why don't you post your plans for Blue. How you are not going to nueter him but weight pull him and breed him! Poor Shadwrack all that trauma then tossed away for the new and improved. IF he is still even around or alive. BTW can you please give us the name of the shelter the girls are at? We may be able to save them. I find it very hard to believe in todays era things went down as you said with no media coverage. Hell a pit bull sneezes in public and it is news, you shoot your two dogs and there is nothing?

Baby and Spoon are dead okay is that what you want to hear! BABY died and spoon was euthanized! I am not denying ANYTHING! I know this is my fault and I made a mistake a very huge LIFE changing Mistake okay and I have to live with what I DID everday of my life! I dont want to aruge this anymore because I feel like shit okay have u ever had to shoot your dog? NO you were not there and there is nothing fishy about anything. I shot my dogs okay! I killed my dogs okay! I killed my dogs trying to save my neighbors dog and its my fault because I left them outside to use the bathroom and did not watch them OKAY! Yes the police came they did not really care! they said I made a good choice and that I was STUPID for even trying to stop the fight! I lied to them about getting bit you know what they do to dogs that bite people they cute there heads off to be tested for rabies and its not a pretty site they use a meat cleaver and cut it right off its nasty!
I have asked that my account be deleted fomr this forum and the other pitbull forum. I want help and I need help but the only person trying to help me now is someone who chewed me out on the other forum I appreciate that she/he is alteast trying to help me now and advise me.

I just became nosey and allowed myself into this discussion but I think we as people have to understand that others are gonna do whatever they wish regardless of what we suggest especially when we approach them with rudeness whether or not they have lied. Having a privacy fence and concrete laid isn't gonna secure your yard or your dogs. If you really invested in those two projects I'd say u wasted ur money. What you need is some old fashioned chain/axle setups, some damn fine collars and a mentor and most of all to get rid of any dogs u have(not with a bullet tho). You really rushed into getting more dogs before doing more research. Have all of them spayed/neutered, adopt them out and attend shows, events and reputable APBT boards. It's true we all have to learn some way but why make more dogs suffer?

Being that a breaking stick is the most basic way to break up a fight and you said you tried EVERYTHING to break them off. I for one would like to know what EVERYTHING is because to my knowledge you have never said exactly what you tried.

i mean,its hard to believe that someone could be dumb enough to get another dog of the same breed when that stuff just happened a couple weeks ago.
what the hell could you have learned in that short period of time?

I think that's enough drama for one day. How much good do you think it does to rehash all this crap, a lot of it from a different forum, here. It certainly does NOT make our dogs look good. All this should have been dealt with in P.M.'s.
