btw this isnt really a blue dog website.Lets not drive away a new member because he has a blue dog. No reason to do that, how in the heck are we gonna educate people on what we believe the true apbt should look and act like. Maybe, if he stays here for awhile and learns about the true gamedog.....we will have another guy on our side.....that same guy might then go ahead and tell his friends what he has learned. Lets embrace new people, give them a chance.

hmmm...... indeed there is a difference in what we and bully breeders believe in. but the, ahem.., majority of members to this site will try to be more helpful than hurtful. doesn't mean you will get your a$$ pampered if you pop off with some ignorant crap though. sit back and enjoy the ride for now bud. there's a lot of knowledge floating around. good luck.

Welcome aboard, nice pup. Not a huge fan of the blues but I dont hate them either , would just never own one on principles alone. Glad you have come across the best APBT website on the internet. There are alot of good people that all know thier shit here. I hope you really take the time and read the link that Marty pasted for you, it is very informative about the overbreeding problem we have with our dogs.
If you have question by all means ask, would rather have you educated than having people bash the hell out of you. Good luck and enjoy your stay.

Welcome. Hopefully this board can help you out on the education front. Your pup is way too young to even think about breeding him, because you have no idea how he's going to turn out. If you're breeding for PR blue noses, that's not really a worthy goal. Sorry if that sounds harsh, but everybody and their brother is slapping blues together because that's the fad thing to do right now. If you want to make a breeding that's going to stand out and be considered respectable, you have to do more than breed for color.
If you're really interested in breeding, stick around and learn what some reputable people do to prove their breeding stock prior to doing any match-making. (Seldom is the best breeding the one between two dogs that you already own.) In the meantime, train and socialize your dogs, and give yourself about 3 years to make that decision. He'll still have lots of good years ahead of him at that point, and you'll hopefully have seen enough out of both your dogs to decide if that's still something you want to do. And if it is, you'll have had time enough to put some titles on him, and have his health testing done.
Evenin, and welcome to Game-dog!
nice pics and yes, this forum is here to help educate people in regards all aspects of the American Pit Bull Terrier.
as far as you breeding him, PLEASE stick around and read some...;)

oh as for breeding him thats nowhere near as of right now...i am still contemplating this issue and many more. i love this little dude. hes awesome and is everything that i wanted. i personally love the color and his eyes are killer imo. plus hes tame as hell ad loves everyone (ok sure hes still a pup haha). but on a serious note i love all colors of pits and all shapes and sizes i'm not just biased towards blues because i have all types around e all day everyday.
In the area i'm from if ur a blue nose breeder thats where most of ur customers are at. just from experience in my area i can say that. thats one reason why the blue one intrigued me. plus his mom and dad were straight beef haha it was bad ass. but i just hope not to get bashed anytime i post something about a blue hahaha

Welcome, Smoke. I hope you stick around, and have come to the group with an open mind, because there is a lot to learn...
As for the blue "battle", there is a possibility that your pup is more an American Bully than an American Pit Bull Terrier. If you stick around, you will learn the difference and learn the true conformation of the APBT...
I am happy to hear that you love your new pup. That is extremely important...
Finally note, try not to take things too personal around here, many times if it seems like someone is trying to "get to you", it's really that they are trying to give you advice that will help the whole community. Then again, there are some people who think they know everything, and you need to just brush that off your shoulder as well from time to time...
Hope you read the rules, and enjoy the group! There is much for you to learn, indeed!

now for that tame part, just curios when were them staffs or true bulldogs ever wild? if your talking about human aggression thats another story.a human aggressive dog needs shot on the spot and that be the end of it. i can go on and on about it but all i am going to say is don't even consider breeding your dog till he has been deemed worthy of being bred,if any dog including your other is not tame to use your words shoot it on the spot if it is yours, and do not breed to that animal if it is not yours. i am trying to keep it simple here but i hope you get the jist of what i am saying.
Also just curious as to what you meant by straight beef when describing your dogs parents.

On a somewhat related topic..... A few weeks ago I was invited to attend a bully breed show and a weightpull comp. It was a trip. I've seen all kinds of bulldogs but I've never seen anything like I what saw at the show.
Every giant blue, gotti, shmotti, biscotti, etc etc was at the show. Some of the dogs looked unreal. Little pups were bigger than my 2 year old female. Even the staffies were balooned out to unreal proportions. Crap, my 38lb bitch looked like a little rat compared to those monsters.
Though I am not a fan of those dogs, I was impressed that every one that my wife petted (and she made sure to get her hands on just about every dog at the show) had a really good temperament. Even the gnarly one's that looked like they were on steroids melted in her arms. And, I think thats a good thing.

Well since we haven't heard from poor Smoke in awhile and this thread has gone completely around the world in "welcoming" him I think we can safely assume this thread has run it's course. Smoke, if you ever would like to start another thread or ask any other questions you are welcome to. Thread closed :)
