Loki got something like that from trying to eat a wasp and getting stung inside her mouth. Her whole body was covered in itchy hives. The vet treated with steroids, and it went away. But I don't know if its the same as what your dog has. Good luck. Hopefully the vet will have good news for you. It might be worth it to take her to an emergency clinic, just so you can have peace of mind.

It can be anything from an allergic reaction, to pyroderma (skin infection), to a bacterial infection, to mange, the possibilities are endless. I would take your dog to the Vet ASAP. And not try and diagnose over the internet. JMO

I Pray it is not mange. I had a pup that had that once that crap spread like wild fire.I felt bad for that dog. But it was small pimple like bumps. It started as a patch then spread all over the place. Get it to a vet ASAP good luck

could be any # of things, from an allergic reaction~has she been exposed to anything new/different lately? food, carpeting~ if she's indoors, new beddding, etc, ??? to possibly having parasites~only found by doing a skin scrape and examining under a microscope..... hard to say, and i'd hate to venture a guess. get a good referral, and then a proper diagnosis, is the best i can say to you.....

perhaps others will have more sufficient advice.
good luck and keep us posted.

edit to add~ yeah the baths, meant to bring that up...
getting baths every other week, for what exactly?
cuz, imo, every other week is a bit excessive for a dog....not good/necessary

How long have these bumps been present on your dog? I have encountered a similar situation. Most of the time it is some sort of reaction to something. The amount of things that can cause a breakout like that are endless. Vets are costly where i am at. When one of males had this problem i went crazy trying to diagnose the problem. Numerous people and friends recommended that i give it a few days to see if it went away. Sure enough it did.

What type of bedding does she use? Is she a house dog? Do you use blankets in a crate or straw in a dog house?

If blankets are used, have you changed laundry soap recently or if she is in a dog house have you changed the bedding you use (straw, hay, wood shavings)?

IMO, bathing a dog as frequently as you are will remove many essential oils from her skin and coat. My dogs only get bathed if they get really dirty (as in mudified) or they start to smell (and I don't mean smell like a dog LOL). And when you do bathe her, use an oatmeal based shampoo. It's soothing to the skin.

Suki, as per usual :) , has some good advice...

If it IS an allergic reaction as opposed to a skin condition, Benadryl would work wonders for the issue. Someone else will need to offer advice on dosages as I've never needed to use it before but it may be a first step for you to try until you can get her looked at by a Vet.

Best of luck with this and let us know how it's going...:)
