So what is the best Eli strain in your opinion. As I know a lot will be personal opinion..lol Eli was the foundation for many lines it seems and they are still going strong today for the most part. So which do you like best and and why?

Just to clarify, that dog is an Eli cross. And she may be getting her looks as a throwback to the Lonzo stuff she has in her.

Here is NC's Angel:

Here is my pure Lonzo bitch Bendi:

Looks like they could be kin. They even have the same crooked little tails. :p

As for what Eli strain I like, I like Maverick & Nigerino.

ABK... thanks for that, yeah they do look like they could've come form the same litter. I knew it was a cross out but everyone that's seen it always comments on how heavy the Eli is in her.. I'm still learning and still looking folks to learn from.. Thanks :) Hopefully she'll look as good as your bitch eventually. Btw is your's as crazy as Angel? I swear Angel stays at the end of he chain just barking and running around at the other dogs.. who just lay there and ignore her... which makes her that much crazier, Like she wants a response from them so she keeps right on barking.

RC... Thanks Bro, i'm still planning on coming for a visit when everything's alittle more ready.

Im partial to the Bullyson stuff. He was a man biter but we didnt have any issues with that since Jigger several years ago. J was the only one who could handle him. I like all the Eli stuff though. :)

I'm a big fan of the Bloody Sunday and Sealer Jr. strains. I've owned several off the R.Hyde's stuff and have seen real good ones from the Sealer Jr. stuff.

jay: If NC's gets her color from the SB blood, where did mine get her's color from? ;)

And yes, before you say it, I know some SB dogs are brindle. But you have to admit, physically Angel & Bendi look almost like clones of one another.

NC: Bendi is an absolute nut. Her only goal in life it to catch. She too will run the chain just looking for a chance to get at a hog. Here is a pic of her at the age of 6 mos trying to get at a hog through her kennel:

LOL. Reminds me of Tess when she sees the neighbor's dogs. She goes insane on her chain.

Thats crazy!..LOL... Angel isn't quite that bad yet.. but she just turned 1 yr. Just wondering does Bendi have this really annoying high pitched squeaky bark? Angel sure does.. drives my ears crazy.

No, Bendi doesn't bark much. Most of my Zebo dogs are real quiet. Instead of expending energy barking, almost all my Zebo dogs silently run back & forth at the end of their taut chains like heat seeking missles waiting to be let loose! They don't make a sound, but the fire in their eyes lets you know what they have on their minds. lol.

As for the barking, might as well get used to that. Almost all of the Maverick dogs I've ever had were barky & not only that, they had annoying barks too boot! So I guess Angel takes after the Eli side of the house when it comes to that! lol.

I had to get 2 bark collars for my yard when I had 4 of our dogs at the house. I had to rotate them between whatever dogs were froggy that night. Barkers are a pain in the a$$, especially at 4am. :)

From what I have seen I really like the maverick/sixbits cross. Have not had the pleasure of seeing a zebo dog at a hunt yet.
