am i wrong or was it some one else, pp, who bred Buck and not STP

STP in fact did not breed the litter that came from Buck, but they owned him. Here is an excerpt from his history ...

"As a pup Buck was sold by Pat Patrick to a physician. He proved to be an unsatisfactory pet and was sold to the late Alan Waldman who matched and won two with Buck in the low 50's. One over Aldo's Zeke, who later became a Champion, and the other over Winchester's Conan. STP purchased Buck from Alan Waldman when Buck just turned 2 years old and campaigned him at his correct weight, 46 lbs. As soon as STP started to work Buck they saw he had incredible stamina. In STP's hands, Buck demolished all of his competition, which included some highly regarded match dogs. Buck did not dazzle fanciers with ten-minute wins, but he had virtually no weakness as a match dog and always dominated his opponent, no matter what style.

The breeding behind him goes back to alot of Patrick's (Sire= Patrick's Little Tater and Dam= Patricks Red Lady ROM...he's also got Indian bolio http://www.game-dog.com/forums/images/icons/icon12.gif in the 3rd gen on the sires side) and Maloney stuff on the bottom. Again, he was bred by Pat Patrick, and owned by STP.

I'll except that I misused punctuation, or maybe should have typed "breedings off of GR CH Buck" as opposed "STPs breeding especially Gr Ch Buck". Sorry for the confusion. I was trying to convey that I think STP historically produced good dogs, and I especially like the dogs sired by Buck...ie Gr. CH Yellow Buck, CH Ratliff's Butkus, Undertaker's GR. CH Red Buck, Otters CH. Chaps. If its just the dogs that STP kept that were sired by Buck see Yellow Buck of course STP's CH BB (also see her 4xW dam who was out of O. Stevens GR CH Virgil and Grand sired by O. Stevens CH Homer) , STP's lil Bonnie (2xW).

Either way you slice...STP has owned/campaigned/bred some great and successful dogs. That's just Buck. There's alot more to be said about what STP has off of their 5xW GR CH Lukane ROM . BTW-looking in Lukane's 3rd Gen on the dams side you'll see another dog called STP's Gr CH Johnny Boy 5xW.

Try Tatonka Kennels they have some real nice bull dogs. They have great all around dogs. You can use them to weight pull or you can put them in a conformation show. Whatever it is you wanted to do. Their website has all the info you will need. Hope this helps you out.

What kind of blood are you interested in? If you can get with the right ppl you do not need a kennel if you can get a pup off an old timer. I never went to kennel to get my dogs.I waited got to know some ppl at the dog shows and found the old schoolers and got some dogs off of them and paid half the price and came out with on top .I think it is really all about taking your time, that will really tell you how serious you are about finding the right dog .

Yeah, good points up above. Man i wish i knew then what i know now. I can not stress the importance of getting to know someone. Do not get overly exicted and go out and buy some 1000 dollar dog with pretty ped. Earn your trust and respect with some people and get into the circle. Heck, once you know the right people...you might even have a dog given to you for no cost. And that dog you get for free will be just as good or even better then that $1000 pup.

But if you can not wait to get your hands on a pup. Just google pit bull, and you will find thousands of people dying to sell you a dog. You might even bump into ______'s kennel trying to sell you a blue pup for $7grand$.

i was wondering if any one could list some kennels in florida that breeds gamedogs.I am originally from there. U live n a great state minus your state leader Jed! Sorrels is located there, and not to mention alot of the good redboy/jocko/mayday stuff closer to Miami. Check out the 305 boys. Also, my buddy used to own the great dog "JETHRO" who still has heavy blood down there.
