I received this from a friend and thought I would share it with game dog to see if we can help make the difference in Maryland and knowing some of our members are from Maryland I wanted them to be aware of what it coming around if they haven't heard yet.
Dear Pitbull lovers,
The pitbull owners of maryland need you help in stopping a pitbull
holocaust that has already been put into effect in one Maryland
county and is currently threatening several others. As we speak
innocent animals are dying in this state simply because of their
breed. There are dogs being taken out of good homes, dogs that have
never hurt or threatened anyone, and euthenized.
My county is currently considering passing a similar ban. I can't
sit by and wait for the police to show up at my doorstep and take my
pit from me. So i'm asking for your help.
It only took 50 e-mails to change the city of Annapolis's mind when
they were considering restrictions. If you could spend a few
minutes of your time writing to the people who make the decisions in
this state My Familly and other's in Maryland would greatly
appreciate it. My pit is the sweetest dog in the world and would
never hurt anyone unless they wanted to hurt me. PLEASE HELP SAVE
HER LIFE. Thank you so much for your time.
Sincerely,

Maryland Governor Ehrlich's e-mail: governor@gov.state.md.us

Hmmm, I am suspicious. Generally in the USA you cannot be deprived of property with out due process. Animals (including dogs) are considered property and have those legal protections.

I Am Also In Maryland And They Are Trying To Do A Statewide Ban. My County Is More Rural But Is Beginning To Grow Rapidly. I Fear That The Spread Will Cause My Dogs To Eventually Be Banned. I Have Written Letters To The State And Areas That Have Legislation Up For Vote Against This Great Breed.

I can talk to Governor Ehrlich's father. He comes into my liquor store all the time.
