why exactly are you interested in them? honestly. seriously don't think you are going to get much info on that subject here. and since they were all confiscated due to neglect and not other milignant reasons, DMX will surely be able to get all of his dogs back through the legal process. even if you are just interested in how they are bred, good luck to ya.

And that ain't much. The only difference is, at least he isn't peddling mutts to the public. He is just promoting the APBT negatively. Like I said, neither are high on my list, unless you look at the $*!t list.

I had some kids trying to explain to me about the "pitz" that Outkast is producing just the other day. I just sighed, and corrected with pictures, etc. of STP's Gr Ch Buck, Tant's Gr Ch Yellow, and Garner's Ch Chinaman. Enough said. BTW do you have a link of the official website that they are using...I am curious (although I have a great idea) as to what types of dogs they are actually fooling these kid with.

i forgot the name of the kennel that big boi runs, but trust me, you don't want to see their crossbreeds anyhow. all them dogs are good for is giving the neighborhood kids two minute rides on their backs. and i'm sure you know why i say two minutes. it's like watching a morbidly obese? person climbing the stairs at the sears tower. but anyhow.... from the pics i saw, the first rapper mentioned in this thread didn't appear to have hippos, but still his actions are quite contrary to the betterment of a breed deeply intwined in a struggle simply for survival. big sigh.... i wish there were no negative posts or threads, but it is soo necessary to get a true understanding.

not that it matters, but i lived in tempe for a couple years while i was in school in scottsdale.

he lived out there.

first guy i met w/ a real apbt was out there. he had said he "heard" he had redboy/jocko dogs.

this was close to 3-3 and a half years ago, so take it for what you will.

i didn't really know this guy too well, met him walkin his dog, talked to him a few times, visited his place once, that was it.

it just came up in conversation somehow.

yup, that be the one. would send you some headache stuff if possible bud. the only thing i can say positive about those dogs are that they seem to be well taken care of. but he no doubt sells to anyone who puts money in front of him. and isn't there a huge connection between merle colored dogs of all breeds and genetic disorders? i remember reading somewhere about how the most prevelant disorder is deafness.

Not only that, but the mere fact that merle APBTs are a controversy in themselves whether they are purebred or not. I see those dogs and ask myself, how did the image of the APBT get this far out of whack when there are set standards? I know that in any other breed, if a dog doesn't fit standards, it wouldn't get far. How can a standard weight be doubled, and people call it purebred? How can a serious fault in color make someone money? F-A-M-E.

I wish people would quit thinking that APBTs are supposed to be big fat lazy 100+ lb dogs. They are Terriers for a reason! They are called Sporting Dogs for a reason!

Well enough preaching to the choir, I wish this message would reach a few unknowledged people and stick in their head. This is why I support the ABKC, at least they are trying to come clean. They should have named the breed something different though, too much confusion with American Bulldogs.

Yeah I heard the same thing about on how the dogs were bred and some guy went to my boys shop buying stuff for him(dmx) he had a lot of money with him he was buy vitamins breaking sticks and some other stuff I can't say he didn't know who dmx was cause my friend is stright mexican untill the guy left I started telling him.they showed one dog on the news here it looked pretty good they saide they had to get stiches on the dog cause it had suspisious bite marks if was only a scratch the dog did not look in bad condition thanks to our wounderfull sheirife joe asshole

Also, merle is NOT in the genetic history of APBTs. It simply isn't. Merle "pits" have only appeared fairly recently....they are mixed breeds, like the rest of these hippo dogs.

I disagree with you here. Although merle is not an acceptable color it has shown on the APBT in the past. I know Colby has had a merle pop out a couple of times about 40-50 years ago and there is nothing mixed bred about the Colby strain.

You do see it more and more these days because people are trying to breed for it. Goes right along with what Jr.Pit Guy is saying, too many people breeding for non-acceptable traits.

DMX's has always been running game dogs. Maybe in his videos he maybe using the blues but in the video Ive seen he has used game bred dogs.

Hell he even used a forbidden forest dog on his grand champ album cover.

he did have jeep/redboy dogs. they use to get them from the same guy i got mine from. I dont know what he was using after the frist time he got busted for animal cruelty. I know for awhile the were getting dogs from og ruffin kennels, which i think were redboy/jocko dogs.

Good link that should explain people what's really going on. there paying top doller for dogs that you end up paying top doller to take him to the vet cause of health problems and it even says not to breed marle to marle men that shoul tell you something right there that sucks when people just breed for color.
