What do you think about.....

What are the thoughts of the collective mind about this situation?

A judge who openly states that allowing a Junior to show and APBT is careless and on a power trip? Who goes on to belittle the junior with her present? Who then goes on to state that the breed is unstable and will snap and attack without warning?
Now remember this is in a public place where non-dog-show people are gathering. The statements were easily loud enough for all to hear.
Who states that an APBT getting the taste of blood gets them "going"? Who says no bait in the ring they judge in because the dog will attack them as the dog will feel that they are trying to steal its' food?

What does this say to you? How does it make you feel? What does this say about this judges judging ability when they don't even know what is correct for an APBT's temperament? What does this say about the breed, if a one who judges them spreads urban legends and has no tact with exhibitors or children? What does it say when a judge licensed to judge a specific breed destroys that breed to the general public, feed stereotypes?

What do you all think? Should they be a judge? Would you show under them?

I wouldn't want to show under that Judge. Heck, I wouldn't even want to watch a show run by that judge. I was angry when the Judge at the last show I went to see gave a ribbon to a man-biter. The crazy thing is that Judge was the owner or whatever you call it, of the AADR. It encourages the wrong temperment, and that person will probably breed that dog, most likely leading to more Man-biters, which is definitely not what this breed needs, nor has ever needed.

I commented on the other board, but I think its absolute crap. I think the judge's name should be made public, so people know not to show under him, and can direct their complaints to the UKC about him.

I don't feel you...you just want to stir the pot and get everyone riled up.. just say who the judge was or squash it. If you read any of the other threads on her about people maing comments about ho these dogs are crazy or kill happy or unstable... and there have been a pile of them... then you know what the response will be of course people are going to defend the breed..... feel me? I know I wish I would have been there and it have been my daughter or someone kid connected to me that the judge was belittle because that judge would have seen something unstable and will to attack anything.

No pot stirring, no drama. I have been at the show aspect for long enough to know how things work. I just wanted to see if others were as appalled by this as I was for my friend and her daughter. And sorry, but me asking a question about someone's actions doesn't stir the pot, their actions stir the pot.

I would not go to any of the dog shows that the judge is in and I would make it clear to the club or who ever is reponsible for the show about him and the way he jubges the breed. You know what everone will say around the same lines as this why won't you just say there name or you should not have saide you knew who it was is it a member from this board or a dogmen that everyone knows.

I just wanted unbiased opinions of different people to show that from all walks, those of us that love our APBT's don't need people like this in our breed.

if a judge can not be unbiased, then he/she should not be judging. period.

I just wanted unbiased opinions of different people to show that from all walks, those of us that love our APBT's don't need people like this in our breed.
Maybe other people here would also like to write a letter to this judge?
